Best Key Grabbers in One Place!

Why search for new key posts when you can get a program that retrieves updated keys for you? Here's my list/review of the key grabbers that perform well in order of reliability. All of these programs are free and will retrieve Keys 00(86) and 01(96) that are commonly posted when keys change. Many are well known by plastic crowd and many by FTA guys. Everyone should have KeyUpdate and one more grabber in case any one should fail. Just click on link for instant download:

KeyUpdate V8[1].0.4.rar--grabs "both" keys from 9 possible sites (tvkeyz.com included), lightning fast key retrieval, program seems to be updated frequently this is latest, has date/time stamp, other features are for plastic

Rom10x KeyGrabber V1.3--really simple program but grabs DN keys well in real time, with last date/time of change, reliable, may experience delay in retrieval

VSKey2_2_.3.zip --geared towards viewsat crowd, but grabs "both" keys with date/time stamp, also creates key files for viewsat and coolsat boxes, very reliable and fast, recommended for any FTA box that displays keys in 4-row format
**It will retrieve keys in this format: 1st half key 00(86)=line 08, 2nd half=line 09;1st half key 01(96)=line 88, 2nd half=line 89

KeyRipper V3.1.zip--works but has to be installed as program file, gets "both" keys, date/time stamp, reliable, ad supported

keymaster3[1].0.zip--server gets busy at times, but when it does grab "both" keys it will detail date/time of change, ad supported

c0d3sP4c3 Backdoor Utility v6[1].3 Public Release.zip --well known by plastic crowd, but works well for simply grabbing "both" keys, just choose Update IDEA Keys, no date/time stamp, key retrieval may be slow but works most of time

Mr-KeyGrabber V7 Live.zip--grabs "both" keys, good plastic utility to patch bin, no date/time stamp

FTA guys should go to their respective forum to learn how to update keys. Learn how to get keys on your own with these programs and you'll save time in the end rather than waiting in line to access new key posts everyday.

Note:
*.rar/.zip files can be extracted with WinRar

*Some of these programs require certain ocx and dll files to be present. If it says you're missing a necessary file you can download MR-Tierworks-Support-Files-v3. Extract file, then run Setup to install the required files.

Hey jimi.. did you try DishGods Keygrabber v1[1].2 56.. I've been using that one pretty steady the last few months.. and it seems to do the job nicely...accurate date/time stamp, identifies Active key, always there when I need it... I posted it last nite, but the thread got bashed.. so I killed it... check it out in the files area.. DG Keygrabberv1.2.56..I checked a couple from elsewhere that were recommended.. what a joke... one sat there and spewed red "keys cannot be found" at me for a couple of hours...the other crashed and burned on impact... so I'm back to my old favorite...DG Keygrabber..Simple, yet effective

I forgot to mention that some programs need ocx file. So I added link to file. Let me know what programs crash and burn. I have tested these w/o problems.

Just wanted to let everyone know that VSKey 2.2 is out.. it fixes some issues with the update button and scroll text as well as added some features requested by users..

NEW 2.2
- Got rid of the splash screen (YEAH!!!!)
- Added an option to Display/Print the keys.. goto File->Preferences->Display/Print
- Added the ability to create a v_plug.db file. Under Extras
- The glitch with the UPDATE feature has hopefully been fixed.
- The bottom scroll glitch has also been fixed hopefully.

Note:

*Some of these programs require MSINET.OSX to be installed. Extract file, then save msinet.ocx into your Windows\System directory.
(Winnt\System32 in NT, 2000 and XP. The directory on your computer that you see a lot of .ocx files)
Click Start. Then click Run.
In the Open box, type regsvr32.exe msinet.ocx to register the file.

The CodeSpace Utility works very well if you hit udate keys and it doesnt get the proper keys hit update keys in the IRC section and be patient it will get them for you .. and the rom 10x Utility is performing very good and fast too.. the Keyupdate is hanging in the top area also .. just my two cents .. LOL .. Dark ...

The rom10x is my favorite of the tools, it is not updated by a human, a pc pulls the keys from the stream and updates the server. Way better then waiting on a person to do it.
