What are you trying to do???? The FTA birds are linear. A circular lnb for the KU band is almost useless for FTA. EB

Everything up there has to be placed legally and to defined International Space law. No ones broadcasting on 12.2-12.7 Ghz circular that isn't listed on any number of SAT listings.
Now DiSH does test channels in the clear on occasion so good luck

Default Something to watch

Point your dish at 079.0W AMC 5, with circular LNB and do a blind scan. If you have a HD receiver you will receive some network channels. On mine, I receive ABC, 2 FOX, and CBS in HD.

Good Luck

I am confused. Other threads indicate a linear lnb with minimum of a 30" dish is required to receive AMC-5. So is a 30" dish required to receive AMC-5 with the circular lnb?

Different signals on that bird, circular penetrates clouds more easily and is usually higher output (smaller dish required) while linear does not (larger dish required) and is usually lower output.
