Egyptian Statue on Mars?
Ok this is amazing and the skeptics can say all they want...the face is WAY to much like a few Egyptian statues...and the face looks NOTHING like any rock formations I have ever seen.
Wind, erosion can count for and do a lot..but this is a bit much...I have other images to post..but wanted to start out with just this one..and in the area of this statue there are some other strange formations.

Interesting pic, but until we get there or a robot gets clost to it then its just another picture of Mars that looks like it could be something else.
Even if there had been life on Mars that could create a statue like the Egyptians it would of been eons ago --- for something to survive Mar's extreme conditions would be next to impossible--- and for many things to survive it would be truely something else. Would be neat to find proof of intell life on another world, but I have serious doubts about Mars.

.................................................. .................................................. ....
Only one who can explain this is the one that made the picture in some place here on earth ,,,,,,,heheahah.............I am a skeptic and i trust no one on this kind of thing unless i was with them at the time ........But i like you would like to be able to believe it .......................good luck
..........................Just a friend .........................SH...
P.S.
I have did many thing's so far in my lifetime and one of them being metal detecting .....I purchased the best equipment i could afford and went after it .....I sold a car to a person that believed in dousing rods He informed me that he was getting to old to carry on with his hobby and wanted to know if i would like to work on a percentage for him and that he would locate the treasure's on a toppo map and i would then go and just dig it up ,,,!!!
He asked me if i believed in the supper natural....I then told him that seeing is believing ....."wrong"
He asked me to come to his home town and he would amaze me with his ability's .......And he certainly did...
He laid out a deck of cards on the table all the cards face down on the table and asked me to select one of the cards
and look at and write the card down on a piece of paper so i wouldn't forget .....(I did so) ...He then started his amazement's for me he not only did it once by selecting the correct card but twice......
.........With my metal detector i could find money which i told him .....He then said yes you can ....But i can tell you t he date of the coin before you dig it up .....Which i never asked him to do .....he then handed me one of several gold coin's that he said he had dug up ......asked me to hide it somewhere in the house ,while he was outside on the porch which i could see his back all the time .....I hid the gold coin and he then came into the house and within probably 2 minutes he had found the coin ......
He then asked me to go outside which i did and he hid the coin for me and i then came inside and found it also within about 2 to 3 minutes .....(he said that I was a natural and that i really needed to go to work with him) ....
Which i never did ........
He also had a chalk board hanging on a wall .....He stated that the dousing rod would tell you everything but (evil) like will she put out .......He told me my birth date by using the blackboard on the wall ...that was scary ...the more i tried to believe this the more i was scarred to venture forth ......("this seemed like the devil's work to me)
I left and never to return there again ............You can only believe so far I think ...............thanks again This really happened to me and the more you watched the spookier it got .......

The pyramids on Earth range in age from some 3-5 thousand years old.A pretty long time.Admittedly and expectedly they are showing some signs of wear and tear.Now..imagine the pyramids in 100,000 years from now.Propably looking pretty dilapitated by then.Now..those same pyramids in a million years from now.
Just a pile pf old rocks I would expect.
We know that Mars has been dead for a lot longer than a million years. We know the weather is much more extream on Mars and the environment much more harsh than here on Earth.
Something built on Mars by a society smart enough to do it would have been erased from the surface long, long, long ago.
Reminds me of many years ago when the first pics of a "Face on Mars" appeared from pics taken by the viking sats.Of course many years later when we sent a sat to take close ups, turned out to be just another mountain in the right sun shading giving a false image that looked like it might have been something.
No doubt in my mind at all that we'll find the same with this. But would'nt it be cool if Im wrong. How bitchen would that be.....
JMO.
Thanks,
Sp0iler

Credit
Give credit where credit is due, this statue was found by a member on another site, your also using her own image without her permission (the second image she put together to show the other statues).
At least give her credit to her find and don't pass it off as your own.

Yes, but I would reference the source and would not pass it off as if I found it. It’s just rude, considering the person who found it spent hours looking over Mars Images.

Well I will give you feedback...
It is not very nice to take credit for someone else's discovery without at least giving them credit...
This was discovered and posted at AboveTopSecret.com by Amanda and is recorded on our website http://www.thelivingmoon.com
The page is here

In the future please give credit where credit is due
Thank you

I would suggest that you read the Terms and Conditions of THIS forum... and it is very easy to give credit sinply say "found by..."

amusing, I didnt know we had so many experts on rock formations and rock carving here. I wonder if any of them have traveled to other countries - we dont have many rock carvings here.
Its not unusual to see things in rocks, thats how many mountains and peaks got named. "The old man of the mountain" was incredibly well named, until it fell off a few years ago, sometime after they put it on their state nickel.
As with anything else you have to put it into context, compare it to its surroundings, think about how things are carved, perhaps visit Egypt and see things close up ( not just the pyramids but Aswan and other areas that were carved by ancient peoples). You just dont carve things that way, finishing upper shapes without roughing the lower shapes, it takes way too many years. You have many, many workers roughing the whole thing first, then the skilled guys start detailing the important features. Whether its Easter island, Egypt or even Iran and Italy, the process for carving rocks is pretty much the same. I guess Martians are just stupid.
not much weather on Mars anyway, not enough atmosphere to do more than create some small dust devils.

I thought Celticmaster took all of those pics in person! I thought he had recently returned from a 48 month exploration mission to Mars. I really need to fire those guys down at the NaaaSa water cooler. Hehehehehe!
Really, I don't believe he was trying to, or claiming that this was his own work or discovery. He was just sharing this intriguing info., that he stumbled across on ye o' internet, with the masses of this site. I, as well as others appreciate it! It was his decision, how he went about posting the material, to not include original credits. He did not offend me, but I can understand how his post may have others.
Think about it, how many times is credit not given to the original source(s) of any story, discovery, invention, etc? We all know this by now! It's fair to state that this happens so frequently, that it is almost "The Norm." This is the world we live in. Honestly, I feel that Celt did not intend to offend or take away anything from anybody.
Obviously, one can conclude and know that Celt is not some super scientist/astronaunt/investigator of Mars exploration, and or an expert in geographical analysis of alien planets. He hasn't and doesn't claim to be a historian scolar of Egyptian Pharoah statues of this world or any other. So, how could it not be common sense that he found this info. elsewhere. Ok, I admit that's not the issue of concern expressed by a couple of members conflicted by his post, but instead of "barking" about not divulging original credits, praise the man for taking the time to post and share this delightful discovery pertaining to Mars and the possibility of life beyond the origins of earth. If one felt the urgency that there should be a need to ackowlege credits, one can point it out and suggest it in a POLITE manner. Politeness to each other and understanding that we all are not perfect, can go a long way with respect at this site and life in general.
Celticmaster is definitely a valued member here, and well liked by many.
Respectfully, you may want to consider that fact for future references, before you accuse, criticize or bash him or any member. I don't think he deserved the rudeness of ridicule by not posting the credits.
BTW, Celt, thanks for sharing the pics. Psssss, I knew well before otherwise posted, that you didn't really make that discovery on your own, and/or was the original creditor of the material. You have to try a lot harder than that bud! HaHa!
I'm just thankful that you cared enough in taking the time to post for others to see. I would have probably never seen these pics elsewhere, as I don't visit any sites that specialize in this type of material. Don't get me wrong, I've always found this sort of stuff to be very interesting, especially the SC-FI parts of it.
