I thought Celticmaster took all of those pics in person! I thought he had recently returned from a 48 month exploration mission to Mars. I really need to fire those guys down at the NaaaSa water cooler. Hehehehehe!
Really, I don't believe he was trying to, or claiming that this was his own work or discovery. He was just sharing this intriguing info., that he stumbled across on ye o' internet, with the masses of this site. I, as well as others appreciate it! It was his decision, how he went about posting the material, to not include original credits. He did not offend me, but I can understand how his post may have others.
Think about it, how many times is credit not given to the original source(s) of any story, discovery, invention, etc? We all know this by now! It's fair to state that this happens so frequently, that it is almost "The Norm." This is the world we live in. Honestly, I feel that Celt did not intend to offend or take away anything from anybody.
Obviously, one can conclude and know that Celt is not some super scientist/astronaunt/investigator of Mars exploration, and or an expert in geographical analysis of alien planets. He hasn't and doesn't claim to be a historian scolar of Egyptian Pharoah statues of this world or any other. So, how could it not be common sense that he found this info. elsewhere. Ok, I admit that's not the issue of concern expressed by a couple of members conflicted by his post, but instead of "barking" about not divulging original credits, praise the man for taking the time to post and share this delightful discovery pertaining to Mars and the possibility of life beyond the origins of earth. If one felt the urgency that there should be a need to ackowlege credits, one can point it out and suggest it in a POLITE manner. Politeness to each other and understanding that we all are not perfect, can go a long way with respect at this site and life in general.
Celticmaster is definitely a valued member here, and well liked by many.
Respectfully, you may want to consider that fact for future references, before you accuse, criticize or bash him or any member. I don't think he deserved the rudeness of ridicule by not posting the credits.
BTW, Celt, thanks for sharing the pics. Psssss, I knew well before otherwise posted, that you didn't really make that discovery on your own, and/or was the original creditor of the material. You have to try a lot harder than that bud! HaHa!
I'm just thankful that you cared enough in taking the time to post for others to see. I would have probably never seen these pics elsewhere, as I don't visit any sites that specialize in this type of material. Don't get me wrong, I've always found this sort of stuff to be very interesting, especially the SC-FI parts of it.
