My new Duo has the Factory Bin 5.0 and the (patch?) DTP 2.071 loaded on it and working fine as I reported yesterday.

My questions are, (1) I want to load the latest Factory Bin 5.01 and the other file 2.09 on it so which one do I need to load first? I'm assuming here that they are safe to load and come with added functionality. (2) Does it matter how I load the files? (3) What functions do these bins serve on the Conaxsat Duo? I guess I'm asking what each file does. Is one of them a "system" file and one of them a "decoding" file? I know it should make no difference to me but it would be nice to know what each file does.

Hi there, Yes just as you though the Factory bin acts as the base or operating system so to speak. and DTP file is the third party software to receive all the channels available and the nice features like EPG, Theme menus and so on.

The Factory bin can be loaded as a bootloader or SW upgrade. Bootloader is like doing a factory default and you will wipe all your settings.

If you are not having any problems then I would just load the factory bin as SW upgrade and also the DTP bin as SW Upgrade.:D
