This is how to load your 2500,FLU or clone with 29xT (ex 294T) to a 2700 clone via the SERIAL PoRT
********* NOTE NOTE ********
********* NOTE NOT for JTAG NOTE ********
********* NOTE NOTE ********

note : You will Need a Pansat 2500 REMOTE

It will erase your channel list....READ your Channel list with Channel MAster and leave it open in background.


1. Open/Run the Blacklist updater included
2. Make sure BIN is Selected not BOOT you are writing a Bin
3. Click select BIN
4. Choose j27_205_1.bin
5. Reboot reciever, on first light/dash, Click write bin. let it write
When it is done, Be PATIENT>>>BePATIENT>>>>>>>>>>>>BE PATIENT>>>!!!! let it reboot after 2 minutes you will see B-75 FlashING on display
6. NOW WRITE THE SECOND BIN....Click select BIN
7. Choose jvvh_208_1.bin
8. Reboot reciever on first light Click write bin. let it write. let it reboot after 1 minute you will see B-75 Flash on display of reciever.
9. now Rewrite your Channel list back, BUT, BIG BUT, you must now select the 2700 settings in Channel master.
10. reconnect to Tv, select default key from parental options(key menu) let it roll
11. wait for next round :beer:

Will the same remote work?

the hardware vdoesn't change
the software was moded ti fit pansat2500a
keepthe same remote
theysay that you need pansat remote
but jvv--- personely said that all remote will work

I will kill two birds with one stone Hee! Hee! The modded 2700 bin has been essentially compressed to work on a 1mb flash so no you can not use normal 2700 bins to update your modded 2500 you will need to wait till JVVH releases an updated modded bin :cool:

i was able to convert my pansat 2500a to 2700. I'm very happy since my pansat 2500 was not working. With the conversion, eveything is great.

Just made the conversion on my 2500 (to 2700) and it's working well...the question now is: when the next ECM hits us, what will we look for as far as a file name goes? and, will the file be under the Pansat 2500 area or under 2700's?

Where is the Channel list for 2700? How to rewrite?

fortec lifetime ultra after downloading file 2500 to 2700 is giving b - 75 on the panel and just keeps on going and going b-75 b-75,dosent like to turn ON .I tried to load boot 60 and return it back the loader dosent work file is downloading up to 100% and when the time comes to burn the file b-75,b-75 appears and dosen stop.if anyone knows any solusions ill be appriciating .the reciver keeps on going and going b-75 b-75...... thanks in advance

I just got a Fortec Star satellite receiver off of ebay. I have never used it, but it is a Lifetime Classic NA. Does this mean it is the 2500? I don't see where 2500 is printed anywhere on the satellite receiver, the remote, the box, or the book? It does say Lifetime Classic NA, as stated. Please help me identify my receiver properly.
