Ok so I have a Coolsat 7000 which I set up and have had working over a month now.

Recently while I was watching TV, the screen went black and the signal disappeared (I actually think the receiver turned off). I turned it back on but ever since it has not been working.

I've tried turning off Autoroll and inputting the keys manually and nothing seems to have helped. I've verified the process a dozen times.

Yesterday I updated to the latests firmware and re-inputted the keys. Still nothing. It always says "Scrambled Signal".

Anybody know what the problem might be? Is there a way to re-flash it back to the original firmware so that I can go through the process again?

The factory bin for the CS 7000 is the first post in the download section for the Coolsat 7000.

Do a factory database reset, reload the factory bin, reload the lastest bin, adjust your settings, and see what happens !

Make sure you give it a little time for the keys to roll . . .

I've had the receiver turn off/on for me when I viewed a recorded file's info (in Playlist screen) with characters like "&" in it. It has also reset on me one other time, but I forget the circumstances surrounding that... I think I was in the EPG.

by "factory database reset", do you mean simply doing a "restore factory default settings" on the receiver? Or are you referring to some other feature?

After you do all the reset it is also best to transfer channel list to usb stick and load it back in along with latest bin file so you don't have to re-scan channels or set dish switch settings again. Tune in to channel 113 and wait a while and you'll get back picture.

Exactly right cortex. Do the "restore factory default settings", then flash the factory bin to the receiver, then flash the latest bin, adjust your settings, and see if that doesn't get you going again.
