I got the same message using wicked 6.0 and manual keys,, pulled my atmega out and reinserted and everything has been fine up to now ,, about a half hour

I just read that the arm running private info is still up and fine - I also read atemgas are taking a crap on this one along with the 102's - not sure on enigma yet.

What going on with rom 102's im using codespace blocker and i rested reciver but still recieving message any one noewhats goin on

private, subbed, atmega128, running wicked 5.1a. I'm getting the "serious problem error" screen overlaying a message about the "your smartcard" and programming. The "serious problem" covers it up before I can read it.

Isnt the receiver has serious error related to the location ID? Remember back when DTV went down and we began testing dish we would get that error a lot.

I think it is hitting tsop of 301.10. I put old firm ware back on and no longer get the nag, but only can get odd channels when i do a check switch test. I did a check switch test just prior to putting on old firm ware and did not show any signal at all. Something going on.

I'm running a 301.013/private keyset with a very private autoroll blocker and I'm getting the 153 nag.

Running the same private blocker on a PVR510 with private keyset and it hasn't skipped a beat, not getting the 153 nag on the 510.

I believe the ecm is affecting only 301.010's, 301.013's, and 311's....possibly 322's but I don't have a 322 running the private blocker so I can't say.

I think that they are targeting the firmware in the receiver via the cards. Cards have blockers (autoroll or not) and the ecm is trying to send info to the card then back to the IRD's tsops. The blocker on card blocks the commands....the command can't be sent to the IRD because the card is blocking them, the TSOPS are getting written to because of the commands being blocked by the card, and presto...153 nag.

I'm no coder, but I believe we'll see the coders figure out exactly what is happening real soon.

I am running two IRDs with Rom 102 and no-rsa one 301-010 and one 2700 with digital lock.And on 301-010 i have the nag 153 but not on 2700 with the digital lock,i think we need to use the jtag to fix it like the old times.

Well, I called D***net, and they said they needed my account #. I said I didn't get one from that satellite pirate site that I joined - the same guys who taught me how to unlock and program rom 102's and how to use that same rom 102 image on an atmega 128.
So then they asked me where I lived. I said - :Why do you want to know that?" They said that I might be a dss pirate or something like that. I said - "What that is, man?" They said - we're gonna have to shut your receiver down. I said - "WTF?" They said - That's not very nice. I said - "Well, you guys are just too tight assed to get anywhere with this problem I'm having with my D***net reception." They said - Okay smart ass, that's it, you're done!

i had a 301.10 that hasnt been plugged in for a while, only picking up 119 (broke ass lnb) but it seems to be running fine. same private keys as my others, and atmega. im just seeing if it keeps on going.

I am using non-autoroll rom 102 with a 2800 ird my tv only goes down when charlie change the keys. I will change the keys manually 10 times if I have to but i will never go to an autoroll program private or public. I really do believe charlie is trying to get everyone to change to an autoroll so he can really do some serious damage to everyone. JMO

on my last post I said about using a non autorrol file and I am right i have been with no error message for more than four hours, just renew the keys as needed, this is the file I am using, got it from dsstester

Has anyone tried the softlock on a 3100 that's getting the nag?
This may be moot though. I can't remember for sure, but it might be that you have to do a hard reset (unplug) after you get a nag with the softlock anyway.
Or did the softlock prevent ecm from affecting the ird. I can't remember for sure.

Seems as if the hard reset is the ticket! Been going now for 12 minutes strong, before it would only last 4 minutes. Will update later!

You wil have to re-jtag your ird with the p247 update. Make sure you set your ird to ask permission before upgrading, and if you have a tsop lock you might want to turn it on.

Ok Bro's, you can read back through this thread and see what my status was last night, after I made my last post I did nothing but unplug the power from the receiver at that time, here is my status today, I am running 301.013 Married ex-sub, codespace 12 no B1's Blocker, still have all the tiers I had last night on the card ppv's all sports, movie channells, Locals everything the works ... did not redo my card, I only pulled it put the current up todate keys on it, plugged it back into the wall, turned it on let it do it's progress checks and load the guide.. tv poped back in went and ran the check switch test everything fine location ID was fine everything went back to CNN and watched after about 5-10 minutes the 153 Nag came up I did nothing but wait after five minutes the 005 nag came up for about 10 seconds then the screen went black for 10 to 15 seconds then bam CNN popped back in and everything is fine have all channels with no problems, Hell I even see that 300, and the hills have eyes 2 are on PPV today LOL ... been running smooth for about an hour and a half with no glitches, I will keep everyone posted if anything changes, I will post it here as soon as it does... good luck brothers the storm may have passed .... You know better then that, it may pass for now, but if there storm works on tuesday on the 301, it will come back and hit every IRD out by weekend.

keep your reciever powered off, unhook your sat input cable , then power your reciever up, next hit menu, then find system upgrades then select "ask first" , then power off again, hook your sat input cable up again, power back up and U should be good to go, unhooking the sat input cable should make U able to do what U need to do in the menu, hope that helps ya

This is how I got rid of the nag:
Read my bin and saved it
Cleaned Code Space
Cleaned off every tier (PPV, Locals, etc...) in DT-Tierworks
Used DT-Tierworks v26.7 added top 60, 120, 180 and Movie Channels (HBO, etc...)
Added my blocker and wrote to card
Did a Check Switch
NO NAG!

Repeated the entire process and added ONLY my locals
NO NAG!

Repeated the entire process and added PPV and Porn (000001-999999), I did not put a check to add the Porn, they just came in with the PPV.
NO NAG!!!!!

I don't know if this will work for anyone else, but this is what I did and it worked for me. I didn't add any extra channels, Bloomberg, Baby, etc...

Just wanted to post my situation.
I have a 508 and a 301.013 both with rom 102 codespace blocker no-roll.
I had them both set up not to accept updates. Got home yesterday unplugged IRDs updated keys and all was good. Never got the nag. 301.013 did not update 508 not sure.
My neighbor has a 311, don't know what blocker and got the nag. he reseted and all OK.
Anyone know what blocker still rolls for the 311? I have no idea what blocker he is using. :yes:

I've never seen a 301-010 with only one tsop. Some of the 013's have single tsop's, but I'm not sure what a good revision for the 013's would be.

nags 005 and 153. If rec is powered off and on repeatedly 'til no nag, the downtime is less than 40 seconds instead of 3 minutes 20 seconds. Speeds up the recovery. Thought this might also give a clue to those programming the fix.

So ...I have subbed with public blocker no auto roll
Step 1....I took an on old saved image and wrote to card
cleaned codespace
used mega master to do keys
wrote blocker Autoroll_PublicBlocker_v2_For_Private to card
Got 153 error in 5 minutes but left and it came in on its own? and still working but this is probably known by all now right?

Now if this does not work it may have been due to my screw up with Mr. tierworks v2.6 in that i did everything there cam ird and teirs but and wrote to saved bin but when I popped the card in t was just a black screen
so I checked the card with mega master...had all the dataspce but nothing came up in the right hand corner ...ie card Id build ...all blank...not using Mr. tierworks v2.6 right obviously so I thats when I started all over again at step 1 and all is fine so maybe my daness actual has a working part to solving the error 153?...be easy on me now boys!

How are you guys managing to block the updates on the receiver? i have a 301-10 i've jtagged twice already with the tsop at 247 and then i go and plug it in connect it to the tv but NOT to the dish and the receiver will not power up so i can't go in to menu and block updates. My receiver won't power up unless i connect it to tge satellite and obviously when i do that it takes the 392 update............any help appreciated, thanx.

Hello all...this is my first post to this area. i am a older "Tester" for years now and would like to ask someone where the heck can i download the latest copy of JEEPRS from, somehow i deleted my copy. I am currently running a 2700 with an ATAMEGA and i need Jeepers to change the keys on the rom.

What progress is going on with this latest key problem. I personally beleive that someone gleems info from this site and then knocks off all public keys. I have been using KEY MASTER to generate new keys but they die within hours.

any information about JEEPERS, I really need it and appreciate any help

A 301.13 can be read without a vidmod, but it needs vidmod to program it. Good luck!

If it wont power on without the sat cable being hooked up, go outside and put some tinfoil on your lnb until you can get into the menu and change it :grr: di**

keep your reciever powered off, unhook your sat input cable , then power your reciever up, next hit menu, then find system upgrades then select "ask first" , then power off again, hook your sat input cable up again, power back up and U should be good to go, unhooking the sat input cable should make U able to do what U need to do in the menu, hope that helps ya

Try what Yachtmd said, if that's a no go. Try what pcgeek1510 just posted, and then as far as I remember the card has to be out of the ird for it to download updates or used to, so leave the card in.

click on upper left box to organize & wipe tiers

select clean.bin

lower left side window where tiers are select only top 60, 120, 180, HBO pack, cinemax pack, showtime pack, movie channel pack, starz-ecnore pack. dont select anything that has 3M in the title & no porn or PPV tiers -we will be generate them shortly.

Ok I have a 301.010 with married image, with codespace rom 102 blocker v12 and add on patch. I tried doing exactly what was posted above and it didnt work. For some weird reason I keep only getting ppv channels (porn, movies,etc) but NO top 60,120,180 or any movie package channels. And the error still comes on after about 15 mins of watching ppvs. Im doign exactly what was posted above!! Does anyone have an idea of what is it that im doing wrong or what Im missing? My MR Tierworks its version 2.7 not 3.0 as the one used above, do you guys think that has something do to with it? Im tired of this error already!!!!PLZ help!

Check off the following:

America's top 60
America's top 120
America's top 180
Superstations package
HBO
Cinemax
Showtime
The Movie Channel
Starz/Encore
TBS
Hallmark
Western
Turner South

Then set your time zone, and calendar.

Next, in the Remap box, select your locals, and check them off in the box on the right.

Then, click "Set PPV Tiers", select "Wipe PPV Tiers from BIN", and select your BIN. Then click "Generate PPV String", and then "Done".

Finally, select ""Modify Bin File", and once again select your BIN. This will make the changes to your file.

going to older firmware will work. i just wanted to try to get the tiers right. just in case they decide to force update, or start pulling channels from older firmware. this way maybe i would be a step ahead.

shtalker you may need to update to another tier generator. i just noticed you said you are using codespace 12. i think i read somewhere that 12 was getting the nag. download codespace 15, it autorolls too. or do as darkhood says and change firmware. whatever it takes to get it goin again.

if your getting an error it may be an OCX support file I am just not sure which one it would be, I have so many loaded I hardly ever have any problems with any of the app's out there.. I do know I have my dot net framework updated to 2.0 I am not sure if thats it though, if your using XP the app may have to be run as win32 compatibility.... :beer:

If you have the 301-010 IRD do the same like Dark, or flash your IRD with 247/248 firmware (Virgin eeprom and NO-RSA if you have no-rsa) Slide into your IRD a fresh mate Atmega card then plug your IRD into wall for a few min and click menu-6-1-5 and change the system upgrade mode to "Ask before"and save and then connect to the satellite.

Long ago, I had to force my 310-010 upgrade from P247 firmware. It didn't work with multi switch, like DP34. Somehow it only feed one sat. After upgrade, problem sovled. I am afaid if I downgrade with P247/P248, the problem will come back again. Killing the 3m tiers is probably the way now to rid the 153 nag.

Hmmm, I would need a clean freshly installed computer to find out exactly what files you're missing. If you installed .net framework, vb5 and vb6 runtime, and mr-tierworks support files and rebooted and the program still doesn't run, I'm at a loss without more information.
Is that exactly the error message? Is it just a dialog box that says "init error"? Any numbers or other text in the box?

Im having the same problem. Only getting half of the channels. It shows Im getting both sats when I do a switch test.

sorry for the delay, here we go. in mr tierworks top left box set your date for a couple of months ahead like 10-31. it will look like a little calendar. in same box set your zip and time zone. where it says set ppv tiers click that, when other box comes up just click generate ppv string, it will say ppv string will be generated when applying patch or something. then click done. then on lower left box below that one select your tiers. select top 60 , 120 , 180. and super stations. then select fox all sports. DO NOT select anything that says 3m. like the sports movies or porn. if you want porn select them one at a time. if you want music select them. ok top right select your locals. bottom right is internationals if you wanrt them. i would suggest that you just put minimal tiers on there for now to try to rid the nag. if you get no nag you can add a few more.
when you have the tiers selected go back to the top left box and select create nagraedit patch name your file and save it where you know where it is. it will ask if you want to remove all tiers before adding these, click yes. then it should say saved correctly or something. then put the tiers on your image and the blocker and write to card, then cross your fingers.

Sounds like a .net framework problem but not sure. If you've already installed it, next i'd try installing nagramaster 2.0. It installs support files that tierworks support files may not have http://www.dsstester.com/details.php?file=385

XP's event log will show you more detail about the error and what caused it. Try to open Dark Tier Gen v6.0.1, and when you get the error, open the event viewer.

From XP's help and support on the start menu about event viewer:
Event Viewer maintains logs about program, security, and system events on your computer. You can use Event Viewer to view and manage the event logs, gather information about hardware and software problems, and monitor Windows security events.

To open Event Viewer, click Start, click Control Panel, double-click Administrative Tools, and then double-click Event Viewer.
For information about using Event Viewer, in Event Viewer, on the Action menu, click Help.

You should download a key grabber.

You don't need the Dark tier gen to get rid of the nag. I am running a wide open PPV string and expire dates a year from now. The only thing causing the nag is the PPV 3m.

Trust me on this. If you use Mr tierworks 3.0 and wipe and organize then patch all new tiers avoiding the porn 3m. the nag will go away.

I just notice that the expire dates and PPV strings are real tight and that is a needless thing that will just cause you to have to redo the card sooner than you should have to.

Now with that said, I suppose there could be another trigger for the nag that is Blocker related and some blockers cause the nag even though the tiers are fine. But if that is the case then this tier gen will not help you either.

Read the post 183 i'm explain everything there.Flash the tsop (IC23) as#1 and tsop (IC22)as#2 and do a virgin eeprom.

READ the read me FIRST.

Read Me For Receiver Flashing
Step1: Open Receiver Top and Get THe Build COnfig Number From Receiver (4 letter number)
Step2: Flash Tsop Image To receiver
Step3: Open Eeprom Image In A Hexeditor and Change The build config number to match receiver.
Step4: Optional Mod To The EEprom Image(Reverse the Build Config Number Ex: ABCD Becomes DCBA)
Step5: Write Eeprom Image
Step6: Plug Receiver into wall (Do not connect sat signal for 2-3 minutes)
Step7: Plug In Sat signal and watch television.:D :yes:

Well WebLady used it to redo her tiers and she uses an Atmega, she said the nag went from every 20 minutes to about every three hours .. I havent fooled with any atmegas, but if I did I would try to convert the bin to use the same lines as the blocker does.. I am sure it would be possible... just an opinion .... Dark :beer:

Is this intended to work with atmega? I`ve tried loading the cleaned and patched image but i`m still getting the nag. 301.010 btw.

So you're saying the only way to get rid of nag with Atmega is to jtag back to earlier revision?

Well WebLady used it to redo her tiers and she uses an Atmega, she said the nag went from every 20 minutes to about every three hours .. I havent fooled with any atmegas, but if I did I would try to convert the bin to use the same lines as the blocker does.. I am sure it would be possible... just an opinion .... Dark :beer:

Anyway, Darkhood, is there a thread where Weblady is discussing this on DSSTester, haven't been able to find, or is it on another site, a push to that thread would be appreciated. dont know if this will help anyone. im using a private blocker but what i did was cleaned all the tiers and didnt use the porn ppv ijust checked the channels that i wanted and ihave been up for a week now with no 153 nag

Read the post 183 i'm explain everything there.Flash the tsop (IC23) as#1 and tsop (IC22)as#2 and do a virgin eeprom.
Plug your IRD into wall for a few min and click menu-6-1-5 and change the system upgrade mode to "ASK BEFORE AND SAVE" and then hookup the cable to the satellite.
READ the read me FIRST.

Read Me For Receiver Flashing
Step1: Open Receiver Top and Get THe Build COnfig Number From Receiver (4 letter number)
Step2: Flash Tsop Image To receiver
Step3: Open Eeprom Image In A Hexeditor and Change The build config number to match receiver.
Step4: Optional Mod To The EEprom Image(Reverse the Build Config Number Ex: ABCD Becomes DCBA)
Step5: Write Eeprom Image
Step6: Plug Receiver into wall (Do not connect sat signal for 2-3 minutes)
Step7: Plug In Sat signal and watch television.:D :yes:

People going to get confused u22 is flash 1 u23 is flash 2 no one has said anything just so someone does'nt write that to their rec may end up dead among other thing's.

I know that but always we use the tsop u23 first.Flash #1 is the U23 with FlashEdit2 and with jkeys by d2.(I never used wall)READ READ READ :yes: :beer: :beer:

I know u23 is the first flash you load in FE,try flashing that to your rec that way flash 2 instead of flash 1 you'll be in a heap of trouble,not looking for an argument just think that the point should be made clear as there's no mention of flash edit where you say this.

You have to flashed first the u23 onto the JkeysD2 and then to rec.
And if don't flash first the u23 onto JkeysD2 you are looking for trouble.:D

I used the new keys but still get scrambled channel message. Earlier my keys were not getting saved so I used the Autoroll options and set 'Dishnet Autoroll' to 'No' - this helped to keep my keys intact and stopped them from reverting to the old ones. But its been about 2 weeks and I have changed the keys several times. I want to know:

1. Why is there a new key update every now and then?
2. Why I am not getting dish programs (I get scrambled channel message) for the last 2 weeks (are others also facing the same problem, if yes, does anyone has the solution)?

Would appreciate some solutins. Not sure if I need to load any new file(s)?

Please help.
