I am fairly new to this but my brother in law has a 2800A and when he scans a sat the channels are already named and if he uses the i (info button) on the remote it gives him a description for the show. On my 6000 I have to name each channel a timely process and the i botton just gives me the name of the show and thats it. I would say the 2800A is way more user friendly. Second if I try to record a show by first scheduleing it I somtimes get a different channel. I read the user manual and to record a show I'm already watching I hold the record button for a few seconds and it starts recording. I am suppossed to be able to watch a different channel while it records. After it;s recording I scroll up or down to something else, but when I go to watch it later I get the audio with the pisture of the ppv guide. Please help.
