I have a great signal, I put the reciever to factory settings, downloaded bin to HDD then uploaded it, scaned Echo 7, 307 channels found. When channel selected it says bad or scrambled. Someone suggeted the sat button if I push it my opitions are ALL, Echo 7, Echostar Package, if I select any of them the list of channels comeup and I can scroll up or down but I dont know that to do from there. PLEASE HELP before I smash it!!!:mad:

after you select echostar package you are done. just press ok a couple of times to get on the first channel.
and, dont get to excited, remember its a new hobby you are learning.

and, it seems that you have only done 1 sat. is there a reason for this? you do know about echostar 8,10? better known as sat 110.

No luck yet. How do I enter the keys? Thanks for the help. As for the one sat I only have a single lnb (old dish)

Thanks to all that have helped me. Its working but only a few channels show in the EPG. Can anyone tell me if the bin 3140 is the lastest one?

I'm using BIN 3142 on my 6000.

I had to go to a certain channel before updating my EPG (SCORE on BEV Echo 7), I've heard that A&E is a good choice as well. Works great now.

Are you trying to get BEV or Dish EPG?

I got it working for now. I'm using dish epg. I have read everything I can find for the 6000 which isn't much! Have you figured out the pre-record option? I keep getting different shows than I record. any help would help.
