I have a 6000 which I got up and running and then without changing anything all I get is bad channel or scrambled channel. I downloaded a bin from 7/21/07 I figured it was the newest one. Can anyone help?

did you try cutting the power off with the on/off switch on the back? some times it helps to click this switch to off for a few seconds then back on.

go to
menu,
system setup,
change code to on.

then go to channel edit,
code, then enter "0000" for password
change autoupdate option to on

I have my pansat 6000 hxc up and running after following the instructions from "macguitarman" exactly as he says step by step. Then going to channel edit- code- put autoupdate on and make sure nagra1&2 are set to dishnetwork. I also have the latest bin loaded which I did through the serial port with the v3.33 loader. Thanks guys, you made a difficult setup very easy.

How did you get yours working without a problem but he couldn't? Did you do a lot of reading? Wow

I did do alot of reading and followed the instructions exact, and it worked. The first time I did this, I duplicated the channels, but I did it again following the instructions as described and it worked. I also like the interface. I use my pansat 3500 most of the time anyhow.
