Hi everyone

I have a 3500SD connected to a HDTV, the video quality suck, is the 9000 video quality better or not?, I know that I will not get HD channels, but those regular channels like HBO, PPV look better with the 9000 connected with HDMI to a HDTV.

Thanks

No for the price you pay for the Pansat 9000 you will not get any appreciable gains.

Beside the Pansat 9000 is not capable of Mpeg4 and can't even be modded with a 8PSK Module and adapter board to get current DN HD and will be totally non functional as a HD Receiver in the very near future.

Buy yourself a Sonicview 8000HD or better still wait for the New Viewsat HD unit to be introduced.

For the money you spent the 3500 give as close to HD as you'll get, without going the extra dollars. Sugestion, before upgrading to other receivers. Do your homework. read up on they're reception and clarity of video. Follow they're support. My Point is/ right know changes are happening. Buy if you must buy, but remember the FTA world is moving forward so buy with confidence because you did your homework. Just my thoughts . TL
