View Full Version : DM 500 with ALPS tuner jmchxxi 07-16-2007, 09:09 AM Hello, Everything work's fine with my DM500, but I can't scan some freqs. There are some workaround? Tanks FTA_mod 07-16-2007, 11:02 AM DSM image can scan some TPs, but your best bet is to upload a sat list. jmchxxi 07-17-2007, 03:18 AM DSM image can scan some TPs, but your best bet is to upload a sat list. I'v try to upload a sat list. Didn't work. FTA_mod 07-17-2007, 05:17 AM I'v try to upload a sat list. Didn't work. What was the reason it didnt work? software errors (Image you are using? dcc, ftp etc) or hardware errors ( LNBs etc). if you can provide more info maybe we can help. jmchxxi 07-18-2007, 03:20 AM No errors, but when you try to watch one of those channels, the only thing you get is a black imagem with a "service not found" mesage FTA_mod 07-18-2007, 05:25 AM No errors, but when you try to watch one of those channels, the only thing you get is a black imagem with a "service not found" mesage Its EMU error. did you try opencam 126 as your default emu? jmchxxi 07-18-2007, 02:12 PM Sorry, are you talking about my default cam? I didn't find any opencam 126 hemispherical1 07-18-2007, 05:47 PM The emu has nothing to do with "Service Not Found" errors. It means the DB isn't finding the service (channel) it expects to. Reasons can range from channels moving (outdated list), to bad LNB configuration (happens often), poorly pointed dish (just because it works with another IRD doesn't mean it's accurate enough for the DB), bad cables/switches, etc. It can be many things, but not the emu... Give some more details about what is and isn't working and equipment being used. "Everything work's fine with my DM500, but I can't scan some freqs." isn't very detailed. What Satellites are you trying to get, what kind of LNB's (dishpro, legacy), etc. They may be helpful in pinpointing the problem, for example, scanning through DP lnbs with a legacy satellites.xml produces poor scans... Good luck, -- hemi updatelee 07-18-2007, 07:30 PM Its EMU error. did you try opencam 126 as your default emu? emu doesnt have anything todo with 'service can not be found' thats a satellite signal issue. wrong channel list, wrong settings, bad switch, bad coax, bad lnb, etc etc. if he's in protugal like his description sais then he wont be using opencam and dsm wont help him scan either. jmchxxi 07-19-2007, 01:44 AM Satellite = Hispasat I don’t believe that I have problems with my LNB/DISH/Connections. At my home I've a DM7025S, a DM500S with Phillips tuner and a DM500S with alps tuner. I've problems only with the DM500S alps tuner. I've got 3 more friends with exactly the same problem, to much of a coincidence. I have a signal with 97-99% of straight and 97-99% quality, so... it's frustrating. hemispherical1 07-19-2007, 09:24 AM Have you tried making a FWZ backup of the working Phillips tuner 500, putting it on the Alps tuner 500, and connecting the Alps to the same exact rg6 (LNB In) cable that the Phillips works on? -- hemi FTA_mod 07-19-2007, 10:39 AM "service not found" usually related to software error. xml, lnb config(ports) etc "switch not found" switch, lnb are not configure properly. etc I had those error while i was testing my DB500 with alps tuner, after i switch from default emu to opencamd, the error was gone. For Europe, try using evocamd or something similar to it. I will upload the file for you in the dreambox section in the main page. dsstester.com http://www.dsstester.com/details.php?file=2763 BTW, Hemi and updatelee are great asset to this site. see you around guys more often. jmchxxi 07-20-2007, 01:25 AM I will try... thanks hemispherical1 07-20-2007, 12:13 PM Evocamd 2.11 is about a year old, 2.16fix was released within the last month or so. It can be found in the usual places (dreamboxworld, etc)... -- hemi jmchxxi 07-23-2007, 02:58 AM After several tests with Dm500 with Phillips and Alps tuner, I think this problem affects only a small group of DM500S with alps tuner, and is not a typical problem. Tanks to all for your help. jmchxxi 07-31-2007, 02:20 AM I have decide to use the warranty. It was a tuner problem. |
