Hi... i am a newbie.. my problem is,,, i am getting Prog xxxx instead of channel names when i do a channel scan...
i was advised to do a factory default, load the latest factory bin,, then the latest bin.
I cannot for the life of me find the latest factory bin #.
I think 1.34 is the latest bin... but the factory bin????
Can someone help this newbie out?

Ok there are a few things to note here.
best thing to do is post what kind of LNB'S you are using ,what dish..switches..and what you have your settings at in installation menu.
it can all make the difference..I'll give you some links here..but, you really should post what you have and how it is set.:)

Could be as simple as doing a factory default..then load 1.35 do another factory default then adjust your settings, enable patch and there you go.:)

Thank you very much for your help.. my problem is... the dish is way up there... 2 stories high.. no way for me to see them... guy came over and set them up for me...
had them for about a year and a half...were working fine... me like a dummy,,, did a factory default when i probably shouldnt have.. and lost all my channel names.. now i cant get them back...
the latest bin i have loaded is 1.34 ar update..

Echo 7
lnb: 11250
diseqc type: lnb1
legacy sw: off
lnb type: normal

6,8 the same except for lnb2

Going to give your advice a whirl woofy,,,
if ya have anymore advice... please dont hesitate... tired of these prog xxxx.
