Hello folks I got a few inquires about the HD PVR system out there. Currently I'm looking at the Coolsat 8100 Micro: PVR that I can purchase 45 minutes away from me. Yippie. I got a couple questions that I would like clarified before I throw away the money.

1. How many HD channels are currently available?

2. What is a 8PSK adapter, it claims to give access to more HD channels but does the Coolsat 8100 already have one?

3. How can I check for a counter-fit model or clone?

4. Should I buy any HD reciever or wait

Thank you very much.

Check lyngsat for the dish you are pointed to. In the US you have 61.5 and 110 that have lots of HD's. Note this will need the 8psk module or the clone that is being sold on fleebay. 81.5 has hd's too.

2. What is a 8PSK adapter, it claims to give access to more HD channels but does the Coolsat 8100 already have one?
8psk enables you to get dishhd's. For 81w nimq you don't need it (FOR NOW)

3. How can I check for a counter-fit model or clone?
I suggest get the original

4. Should I buy any HD reciever or wait
Yes. get the sv 8000 which currently is in the works and there are strong reviews vs. coolsat.

good luck
