Is there a way to load new updated keys through USB.
I can't seem to figure it out through USB.
Also which software is the best to create the key file?
I've looked and cannot get a direction.

I'm not sure 100% but i don't think there is an option for that yet..they are still working to improve the 7000 as with any new box.
You can use 8282 on the remote if you have to enter keys.
Bin 108 is the newest for the 7000 and autoroll is working fine so there is no need at this time to enter keys.:)

Bin 107 autorolls fine as well.
It would be nice if everything was do-able from the usb port -- hopefully that will come. I was a little disappointed that my cs7000 didn't ship with an upgrade cable, may be that is the source of your frustration. I ordered one from fleabay (@$8 w/shipping.) While the manual doesn't state so, the coolsat site says that the 7k uses a female to female straight thru rs232 cable.

Yes, the usb port is do-able I loaded the 104 up to 108 with either the 64 MB
flash drive that comes with 7k or my external HDD. Saves time hooking and unhooking video and audio cables and connecting to computer with null cable as with 4K & 5K that i have. This is why the guy who sold me the box say that the 7K doesn't comes with null cable.
I also tried the 8282 on remote + OK button and from there you can change keys manually just in case we need it.

Thanks Willpot, but I think the question had to do with creating key files and uploading them through usb...
hey Nav, try this -- http://www.dsstester.com/download.php?file=2556&go=1 -- seems to work for a key file, but I can't help you load it via usb

I was thinking about USB drive...and question is:
Does "Coolsat7000-Loader" allow you to upload files to USB flash drive directly or you still need "rs232 to USB" converter(cable)?
Thanks.

No, you don't need the loader to upload latest bin file to usb flash drive just open or unzip file you have downloaded then send it to the flash drive. Plug the flash drive to your CS 7000pvr then turn unit on & instructions will pop-up automatically.

can anyone explain how to get "Quality" to more than 0% . as per the other documentations I tried to tune the dish but couldn't get quality to budge past 0. where as level is going to 85%.
