I just received a new cw-600s premium. i'm been reading for a while now but haven't been able to find an answer. When loading up bins, should the fta be powered off? powered on? or powered on stand by? Thanks in advance

Have it turned off at the back if you are using a cable as you click to load from the comp. flip the switch at the back of the machine on.

Assuming you have your correct settings in antenna setup

* Power off the receiver from the back switch.

* Connect your PC or Laptop and receiver with twisted RS-232C Null modem cable.

* Hold power button on the front of the receiver and turn the power ON from the back of the receiver. You will see “boot” on the front LCD screen of the receiver.

* Start Loader 1.06, Press the file tab to open the new bin file then Make sure you have the correct COM port selected then select Download SW. Now press start. the progress bar will start moving from 0%, once done the receiver LED will display "End" now turn off from the rear switch and then turn on..and press F1 then 000 to enable the patch. :)

Hi I am also a newbie with the same receiver...

When I follow the instructions below..What happens is the loader goes to 89%... It stays at 89% and a new counter starts on the receiver display and goes to 0... When the new counter hits 0 i see End on the display and the 0% on the loader.... I never see the loader actually go to 100%.. Is this ok?

Also when I do a scan... I only get couple of channels.. I don't get everything on 61.5
