Spacestar, and its successor SonySat have come under a lot of scrutiny and ridicule within the community as of late. The reality is the DVB-500/700 and 4000 are still the fastest FTA boxes on the market, with a picture quality that is clearly superior to 90% of the units on the market. As you know, this line of receivers experienced poor software support in the past, which left it languishing – that coupled with a lot of bad (and often) inaccurate gossip and rumors made it particularly difficult to recruit new coders to support the box.



We at SonySat have made a new alliance with a new software development team. The Spider NG team will support this box till the stream ends – the phoenix will rise. We hope we can win you back.


This bin marks the first publicly available file from this new support team. You can expect new and improved versions of this bin on an almost weekly basis.
