2) Picture Quality (sorry, but 10 is reserved for HD picture)
HD receiver 10
Trio 8.5 (hard to beat)
CS5000 7 (good enough)

3) Sound (the audio from this unit is more lively, even through TV speakers)

I have not tested other options like Divx and PVR. But since I didn't have a PVR before, I can't really make any comparision. Others may have it and can provide one to one comparision.
