HD8000_P_MASS_14AUG2008_v402_b207 factory bin

New Factory HD8000 bin update from SonicView Tech Services in their own words;

"We are aware that the SV-HD8000 is having trouble scanning the lower frequency VHF channels. Our engineers have recently released new factory firmware, which should correct the problem. (attached)"

The menu indicates this update includes mp3 and jpeg playback from HDD.

Use at your own risk!

Credit to Betaman at another site for this information

The files in this zip contain everything you would need to completely return your HD-8000 back to factory specs and more. It also contains a Long Name Template for 82, 91, 61.5, 110, 119 & 129 satellites that is up to date for all cities and new HD channels as of 08/20/08. 3559 channels total. I spent most of the day checking to make sure that the info on the long file name template is correct according to dishchannelchart.com.

Read the readme file for instructions.
NEW This file now contains the 295 bin for good satellite scanning until the coders can fix the internal/external tuner problem.

Problems uploading require me to split the Zip file into two Zip files containing all that is needed.

The above method is to restore your HD8000 to factory settings with a recent sat file with updated tp's etc.

I had a problem with reversed polarity on some tp's thus channels would not scan. Initially I tried the complete restore with no effect.

Finally I did a factory default and only used the sat file included in the package, then scanned and had all the missing channels.

Note this sat file can also be used to restore your sat listing should this be required.
