Hi all,

I know there are settings in the system to designate dishes and what they are connected to, but is there anyone that can confirm that it does work with SW44 switch?

My issue that I have set the sats I want, but it wont pick up any channels (auto or blind scan).

What I have confirmed:
Receiver is working (Works with friends sw21)
Bin file is good
Patch enabled
Autoroll On
Diseqc OFF
SW44 working (connected to output3)
Dish is prointed correctly

Any suggestions? The only difference in me and my friends setting is the SW44...

Thanks in advance.

You need to set your Diseqc settings that match the sats connected to the SW44. Also make sure that your LNB type is set to Standard or Legacy.

Check one of your DN IRD's and see what ports the sats are on by going into the switch test menu (Menu, 6, 1, 1) and set sats accordingly.

Example:

1 = 119
2 = 110
3 = 61.5

So you would set Diseqc settings as follows:

119 - Diseqc 1
110 - Diseqc 2
61.5- Diseqc 3

If you have an option in the Legacy switch menu for the SW44, you can use that setting and set the Diseqc settings to OFF.

The bottom line is, you need to have a strong signal on ALL sats and a good Quality on ALL sats before trying to scan.

Thanks for the info, I am using an SW44 without any diseqc's...

I found out my signal problem, when I moved a cable to ensure it was tight I ended up damaging the cable... thus VERY poor to no signal...

Now, although I can get 1 outta 2 LNB to connect, I still cant get the second. Now I know that in the settings you can set LEGACY SW devices, and it does work with SW21 units, but I dont think it works with SW44 ones.

Is anyone using just a SW44 connected right to 2 dual LNB;s and then directly to the CW 600s Premium and has it working??? (see diag below)

LNB1 LNb1 LNB2 LNB2
...../......\............/......\
dish1a dish1b dish2a dish2b
4 lines connected to SW44
l....l....l....l
SW44 has 4 lines out, connected directly to CW600s Prem

Thanks

OK, I have tried the changing sw44 ports, blind scanning, manual channel searching... and this is all I can say....

Although the CW600s Premium has options for legacy SW21, SW24, and SW44 support... the SW44 settings do not work completely. the best I was able to do was 1/2 the channels on one LNB, and 1/2 on the other using an SW24lnb1 and SW44lnb2... Can anyone confirm my findings or their own experiences with SW44's ???

Thanks.

your info is just a little vague. if you have 2 dual legacies on one dish. connect 1 line from 119 lnb to port 1 on sw. one line from 110 lnb to port 2. connect one line fron lnb on 2nd dish pointed at 61.5 to port 3 on switch. set same in diseq setting. this should get you going.
