Anybody had hdd issues?

Mine worked fine with 4.27, but still trying 4.28 to see if anything else other that hdd got improved also. who knows some glitching got fixed when they fixed usb compatibilty.

I recorded about 10 mins of xxx without a problem with 4 gig cruzer flash drive... well except it took about min and half to recognize the drive. Playback was fine except one glitchy when the girl was moving up and down really fast...

I recorded about 2 more hours with 80gig seagate with no problem.. haven't got a chance to playback yet. Ill report back later on.

I haven't seen 4.28 out. Where'd you get it? The only HD issue I've seen is the "checking USB Device" message that delays recording/pausing by like 5 seconds. Other than that playback has been great. I have had some lockups and reboots but I understand that the code is still a little glitchy.

Dude, delaying about 5secs is not a problem at all. It's sticking your external hard drive to your computer, it still takes time for your computer to recognize your hdd, too.

I can see it happening once but there should be no need to detect it every time I record or pause something. I use the EPG offload so it knows the HD is there.

It's doing that everytime you record because I think the box is detecting for a proper space of hard drive to save the file.. I think.. :o

i fnally got around to loading 4.28 to my v1after moving my duo aside. team CNX i feel has proved themselves with reliable bins.:) of course there will always be bugs in almost all bin of any stb, i feel CNX has a plan, and with patients i think we will soon have the #1 stb on the market hands down. the v1 works excellent for a pvr well under 200 CAD and for a few dollars extra u can have a duo, and exprience the best/fastest guide i tested so far..and few dollars more a trio with DIVX playback/support in 1080i HD
