hey i tried to install a superdish yesterday to an extremeview magnum at a buddys house..
anyways i pointed it good enough to receive all three of em.. but a few problems arose..

the fss lnb points to 119 and the dss lnb points to the 121. its strange because i thought the 121 required the fss lnb to even receive a signal. playing with the ports will give me no signal on both..

I havent really looked at the inside of the superdish, but is it able to swap the fss and dss lnbs?

i tried connecting both directly to the receiver at a time.. when i highlight 119, i can only select single lnb and it would report back the 121 sat. vice versa for the 121..

i select 121 and it would only give signal when i set it at dp 11250.. weird

any help appreciated. thx

hook up just the 119 side and realign the dish again. make sure pole and settings are plumb and correct. maybe test the 110 side also,just to make sure you see both. Then hook up switch and 121. 121 should just fall into place. Good Luck !

i bought the superdish used, and was just wondering if it was possible for the seller to install the fss and dss lnbs on the wrong slots..

or is impossible to do that? i didnt get a really good look at it but the diagrams show the inside lnbs to be just one piece

are you sure you didnt buy a 105 superdish ?

yes i am sure. on the inside has two small lnbs.. one fss and one dbs.. the 105 i believe has on dp and on fss in it..

are you hooking up with DP34 or using regular DiseqC switch?

it was dp34..we solved some more things but found out that the 119 lnb was bad.. so we used the old dp 500 to get the 119 .. connected them all to the dp34.. everything works fine but signal would go to 0 within minutes if we connected all 3 sats.

dp34 tested good.. i guess the extremeview couldnt keep the dp34 working by itself. i didnt have a power inserter to test.. oh well..
friend ended up canceling the superdish, and just kept the dish500

I had a power issue when three receivers were connected with a DP34 switch, I had to replace the switch with a diseq switch and an older 3x4 multiswitch to get all three receivers to work not sure if this helps you or not.

Just to let you super dish guys know 121 will be shut down within the next three months.

How you know that ??? If that will happen , it will be permanent , or will return to normal service after a while ??

they are moving all 121 programing to an older sat but we dont know witch one yet word is its going to be an old prime star satelite
