***New Magnum V147 - 03-30-07 Enhanced Stability***
03-29-07
Bin Version 147
Increased Stability

Team Reliable / Team Magnum

Magnum Users,
This been is the result of many hours of programming and testing. It is not perfect but an overwhelming majority of those that have tested it voted YES to release it. Please follow these instructions for the best results. A full Factory Default is NOT required on this file. However, by choosing the Default Configuration option, in the Factory Default menu, you will minimize potential for problems. The Default Configuration option simply resets some options in the menu and helps optimize the performance of 147. It does NOT change your Satellite Configuration and it does NOT delete your channels. It does reset your time setting so that will have to be reset.

New Features
--------------------------------------------------
Recall History - Located in Additional Options when saved in the ON postition it shows the last 10 channels when the recall button is pressed on the remote. When this option is saved in the OFF position the last channel only is recalled when the recall button is pressed.

Improvements
--------------------------------------------------
Menu/Message Labeling and Verbage Updated
Video Jitter Eliminated
Transponder Database Updated on 91 110 119
Picture Quality Enriched
MAPCall Processing Time Reduced
--------------------------------------------------
Once Again to our supporters we offer thanks and as always we welcome your comments.
ENJOY!!!!

This is what really gets on my nerves about them. They admit that some people still have problems, but DO NOT state what the problems are. So then what happens when the end users start experiencing the same problems? They complain!

Maybe there would be less complaints if TR would admit issues and such instead of leaving everyone to speculate and argue.

By posting what we assume you may experience, which is not happening on every unit, we set you up to EXPECT this difficulty, which may set you up to fullfill this expectation. Also, these issues may not be seen by users that use their box normally, but those who push their box, expecting these things to happen, may see these issues, report them, and reduce the expectations.

Unlike other manufacturers, we tell you "IT'S NOT PERFECT YET, But WE ARE WORKING ON IT" I believe this is a step in the right direction.

I admit it's nice to see someone admit it's not perfect, and I haven't had any of the freezing issues others have had, so no problems with my maggie. It would be nice to know what this small percentage of people might experience, that way if I experience it, I won't need to post it, and then have other people post it too.

Just seems like the coders are wasting my time if I have to report something they already know, yet refuse to tell me.

I'm not telling you not to post your findings, quite to the contrary... post your findings, that is what these forums are for. More importantly, tell what you are doing at the time of finding an issue, and show your settings at least one time on the forum of your choice, so the coders have a point of reference to determine the cause of these issues, and resolve them more expeditiously. The biggest problem with fixing these issues is a failure to communicate the complete picture so we, the coders can determine with some fidelity, what EXACTLY the issue stems from, to resolve it at the source level. We get tired of guessing, and this information is CRUCIAL to the communication structure. Unfortunately, by posting this info (by the coders) we open the doors to the bash masters, and naysayers that (THANK GOD) dont spend so much time doing this here at tester, but can take what they find here at tester, and use as ammunition on other sites. See my issue?
