Hi All,

I am a newbie to this FTA world. I recently bought the neusat 6000, and have 2 dish installed (dish 500 with dual LNB [110 and 119] and 61.5). Somehow i am not able to scan the Indian channels and while doing the blind scan, it showed up once, but there was no picture. I suspect something wrong with my settings in choosing the LNB. Please advise.

Thanks

Pankaj

what are your settings on the 61.5 lnb since it is the one with problems also what is your signal quality i have a guess tha you may not have the proper setting in the installation in menu section of neusat if you have a dpp you will need it set to dishpro also if you are useing the dpp as the switch there have been may problems mainly that the fta stb doesnt put out enoughh power to runn the dpp properly.

Hi ,

Thanks for the reply. I do the blind search on EchoStar 3, choosing the following settings
LNB Type :: DishPro
LNB FREQ:: 12350
Diseqc : Off

Also i don't see enough power when i select it first and not in the orange status.
Interesting thing is sometime i do the blind scan i do get all indian channels, but belong to different transporder (12413), and after repeating the Blind Scan again i do get Indian Channels from 13413 TP

and once i restart the Neusat SP 6000, all the channels are gone and come scrammbled.

Please reply

You are running a DPP twin?... the neusat does not have the power or the software to control the input port on the DPP twin... try hooking up the Echo 3 lnb directly to the receiver then scan echo 3 and I am sure you will the channels... you will need a 22khz switch to connect the DPP and the dual... the DPP on the off side and the dual to the on side... set up the DPP as normal and the echo 3 with the 22khz setting set to on....

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. Somehow the tech which came to install has configured in a way that
The wire from the DP Dual-1 61.5 comes into the DPP twin and from there the 1 wire comes out to the receiver, so there is no way i can connect directly to 61.5 W.

Also as said earlier

If you do not have any other units, use the diseqc switch.
From the dpp lnb use both outpus to port #1 & #2 to the diseqc and the other lnb (61.5) to port #3 of the diseqc.
Set dp on all your sats, diseqc 1 for 119 tp 12239, disecq #2 for 110 tp 12224 and disecq 3 for 61.5 tp 12355,12385 or 12414. For 119 & 110 do auto scan. For 61.5 do a blind scan but choose only H polarity since the tps for that bird are mostly hor. This method works for my setup.
In case you have any sub`d receiver just take one port of the dpp lnb to the sub & the other to your neusat.
