Is a Commanche a decent reciever for Linear free to air stuff and or testing with.

I found a great deal on a 30" dish, dual linear LNB, and a commanche reciever and a diseqc switch and serial cable.. well I though it the price was good.. under $100 for everything.

I wanted to mess around on the linear stuff so I though this would be a cheap way to get into it.. Can anyone recommend this reciever or tell me to run like heck from this.. and spend my money on somthing diffrent.
