I finally recieved my pansat 6000. the problem is that I could not download the new bin on it. I tried for hours wirh different way but it did not load. can anyone please help me to download the bin into the reciever. I downloaded the new loader from the site and still did not work.

I'm typing this from memory because I'm not near my unit to flip through the menus BUT, the easiest way is to download the new bin from your computer to the 6000 hard drive via usb cable. Put the bin in the "Firmware" folder. Re-install the hard drive back into the unit. Then select HDD software update from the menu. Then select the bin to load and the unit does the rest. Make sure to turn the rear panel power switch "OFF" before removing or installing the hard drive. Also, if you search the Pansat 6000 section of this forum (that's where were at now), there are a few really good "how to" threads that will walk you through it. Hope this helps.

thanks for the reply but I did go to the pansat official website and found something there to help me. I did download the bin and install the unit, know my new problem is that I do not have the channel inf or guide on the screen and as you know it is kinda important for this unit to record your favorite shows. I'd apreciate any help in regard to channel info.
