I see some suppliers are listing the Coolsat as discontinued. Is that because they cannot get them or are they moving on already?

From what little i have read about that..it just seems that the current model will be replaced with a newer model that has USB support..I think that was the intention in the first place..but seems to me they wanted to rush and be the first North American FTA to offer HD. I hear May.. but who knows.:)

I suppose that they would be setting a new record for customer abuse if that was not the case. I've been trying to get some info on upgrading our units to usb and card reader status with no replies. Guess they are too busy these days.

Oh yea,, that would be total abuse..not the easiest thing to get real solid info on anything FTA ..or anything concerning this hobby .but thats just the way it is guess. All we can do is read as much as possible and most of all have patients.:)

Making them USB is long over dew . . . But I would be mad as hell if I though I had bought the latest and greatest only to find out that they were up grading in only a few mouths.

Sadly for you and others:no: I think that may be the case..if you look at all the advertising when they were first introduced you see they all had USB 2.0 in the features...but now that has changed:no:

Just to add..you will still have the same box,,,just without the usb option. thats the chance you take buying a brand new stb..i have reading about the firmeware and it seems they are improving all the time. I would have bought one, but my old 1999 sony does not support HD.
