I have connected my HDTV terestrial antenna to 8000 and it didn't find any channel during the scan.

If i connect the same cable to my TV I can see about 20 channels HD.

Any idea why is not working on 8000?

Thanks,

The scan it takes about 5 min, but with no channels found.
I wonder what's wrong with atsc scanner.
Maybe I should input the frequencies manually? and I'm not sure from where to grab it.
Thanks Josh...

What do you have connected to the ATSC port antenna-wise?

If you don't have anything else to validate ATSC reception from I'd look for a site like the following with local ATSC lineups (like www.remotecentral.com/hdtv/index.html which covers western new york and toronto)

I have a XIUM antenna

***********

After a lot of tweakings, this is the way it works:

1.- Begin tweaking by changing the parameters. Begin scanning at 70000 MHZ and do it in two steps. First go from 70000 to 502000 and afterwards from 503000 to 880000. Why? Because it resets itself at 502500 !!! and you lose everything. I don't know why.

2.- Change the steps to 500 Mhz (it comes with 6000). Take out RADIO and leave only TV

3.- Have a lot of patience because it will take HOURS to do the job (missing those channels that are not strong enough for it)

4.- Results are in broadcasting letters, not in channel numbers, so you have to know, for example, that WSVN-DT is Channel 7.1 in your area.

I have compared my LG ATSC tuner results, my HAIER TV tuner, DISH 811 and DISH 6000 with Coolsat 8000HD. The worst, clumsiest and slowest is the Coolsat. I love the quality of the image in SAT but the ATSC terrestrial is a shame for Coolsat designers!!!!!!!!
