i dont know about you folks, but a firmware ECM is in progress at least i think its an ECM, for the cardless IRDs.

Any reciever that you patched new SK sets on, and burned onto a new FLASH BGA 064 chip to be put in a 322, 522, 625, 921, and 942, is now being ECMed.

d*sh has unleashed a new firmware and is forcing these recievers into boot recovery 061. my 522 and 625 that was hacked this way, went down last night.


I cant confirm anything, but keep an eye out. they are doing this in the new firmware update. DO NOT TAKE THE LATEST UPDATE ISSUED FOR CARDLESS IRDS IF IT IS HACKED IN THIS MANNER

Yeah, apparently they are hitting a very small section of the hacking commmunity. Very few have the expensive cloned bga tsops receivers so it seems maybe Charlie is sending a message to the the hardcore hackers. This is just a skirmish, more to come for sure folks, stay tuned for a bigger hit.

Personally, I am not going to lose any sleep over it. If and when it happens, we will deal with it just like we always do.

you don't have to worry, if you just activated a x sub. clones and virgin one's are what they are talking about

Hey how's it going Fallon2000? You the happy camper now? Hey Skunker......no,that activation is not affected bro. Its everything to do with the EJTAGGING and cloning of tsops to the 522's, 322's, 625's etc., the higher end stuff that got hit. As for the regular activation to get a sub up that using that activation blocker is not an issue. All is fine in that department so far....921 with rom 103 yellow up and dandy as well as 921 with bga board rom 103 image also working fine. Both running private rom 103 autoroll blockers. BTW, there was no firmware update for the 921's, still running at L278. All is good gentlemen.

OK , just wondering because that thread on the ecm is mind blowing and way over my head.

this only affects the SK patch. I dont think anything public was done in this manner. but a few guys on here was using an expensive programmer to read teh BGA directly, apply an SK patch, and write a new BGA to be stuck into the reciever. that method was targetted.

again, VERY VERY few members here would be affected.
