Give that a shot.

I that gets no results then load the factory bin for the 8000 and do a factory default then load the new COOLSAT 8000 v111 02-22-2007.

One thing i would like to add here is that you have a thread in the 5000 section about your dead Coolsat 5000. now you have a dead Coolsat 8000.
So if i were you i would be checking all my cables and connections for silver braids touching copper anywhere..you may be shorting out these boxes. give them a good going over and make sure your electrical outlets are also good.

I also have same problem. What is interesting over here is that when i flash any old .sgn files before 11138f I am able to get the display and I am able to go to the menu.

But as soon as i flash any .sgn files after 11138f (11142 - 11147f) It would not work for me. I would not get any display or not sound as mentioned by tjt69

I have checked all my cables they all work fine. I have tried with different RCA, HDMI cables to see weather i am getting display or not. But no result for me.

Also i would like to mention it when i reboot the Coolsat 8000 I am able to see version with Please wait message. But once that message passes away fta display goes black.

Also i have tried plug-in fta in different outlets but i have same result.
Also i have tried following combination for flashing file, but they didn't work for me
1) Clean (Clean_HD), Factory(11170a), New Bin.
2) Clean(Clean_HD), New Bin.

I would appreciate your help.
