View Full Version : Trying to load files onto a new Neusat receiver
I recently purchased a Neusat receiver and was wondering where I would find the latest files and loader for this receiver to get it up and running.
Also, I am not using a USB device to load filesonto my Neusat, just using a cable from my Coolsat receiver (not even sure if that is the correct cable for the Neusat receiver but it's all I have), would this work as well or do you recommend a USB?
Thanks,
du2772 02-19-2007, 12:02 PM Just out of curiosity why would you buy one of those when there are so many other units well supported without the problems.
it would also help if you post this
question in the nuesat discussion
forum and not in the files only section.
Just got a Neusat, wondering where I could get the files and loader (which website has these) and once they are downloaded into My Documents, what I do from there. I have downloaded the files for my Coolsat a number of times but the same procedures do not seem to work for my Neusat.
Thanks,
I was wondering about loading the Neusat files and loader into the receiver. I haven't done it yet, but I have heard of people having problems trying to load with the cable. Do you recommend the RS232 cable or the USB? Or does it even matter?
Hey du2772, I was asking a legit question about a receiver which did not call for your sarcastic remarks. If you are only on here to insult other people then I suggest you go onto a Chat Room in Yahoo and talk to your own kind there where you can hurl insults and sarcastic remarks all day long. Funny how brave people can be behind a computer screen!:grr:

Well....I have never had to load mine with the null modem cable...always used the USB drive...super simple.....unzip the file onto the USB in the root directory...stick it in the Neusat...when the screen pops up click OK....wait till the file loads and the unit reboots...pull out the USB drive...and away you go.....some say to do a default then scan your sats.....mine works every time...if it doesn't give you video...check in settings and make sure the Autoroll is turned on.....should werk fine...:)

The official release site for the Neusat seems to be Realf2a the loader program and current bins can be found there for sure. They are also posted all over the net at other sites also.....The STB downloader program is to be used with a null modem cable...but the USB drive is the way to go....unzip the bin to the root directory of the flash drive...stick it in the Neusat...wait till it prompts you to load the software...select OK...wait till it finishes loading and reboots...then pull out the usb drive.....some say do a default and scan your sats...I haven't had to....thing has always werked fine for me.:)

Sure...click the menu button on the remote....use the ch v (down arrow) to go down to "User Preferences" push OK...this brings up the preferences menu items...use that ch v (down arrow) to scroll thru the settings till you see DishAutoRoll...then use the vol>(right arrow) to toggle the field off or on...press exit and you are done.:)
