If I do a factory restore on my viewsat extreme would I have to re-flash the receiver ?

I am trying to eliminate the duplicate channels that I am getting with the blind scan.

If I do a sat scan I would have missing channels. Either way I can't win.

Hi friend, (sorry if my english is not writted properly) If you select FACTORY RESET from the installation menu, the receiver only delete the channel´s, sats, and some system settings. you DON´T need reload the PGM file again. all you need after restore the receivers factory defaults is set your satellites with its diseqc options and then do a sat scan on every satellite you installed. hit factory default and redo antenna settings and f1 scan each sat, check all other menu settings and you are good, make sure you see the sat you are about to scan listed in the upper right hand corner before scanning
