Hey jimi.. did you try DishGods Keygrabber v1[1].2 56.. I've been using that one pretty steady the last few months.. and it seems to do the job nicely...accurate date/time stamp, identifies Active key, always there when I need it... I posted it last nite, but the thread got bashed.. so I killed it... check it out in the files area.. DG Keygrabberv1.2.56..I checked a couple from elsewhere that were recommended.. what a joke... one sat there and spewed red "keys cannot be found" at me for a couple of hours...the other crashed and burned on impact... so I'm back to my old favorite...DG Keygrabber..Simple, yet effective

I forgot to mention that some programs need ocx file. So I added link to file. Let me know what programs crash and burn. I have tested these w/o problems.

Just wanted to let everyone know that VSKey 2.2 is out.. it fixes some issues with the update button and scroll text as well as added some features requested by users..

- Added the ability to create a v_plug.db file. Under Extras

Click Start. Then click Run.
In the Open box, type regsvr32.exe msinet.ocx to register the file.

The CodeSpace Utility works very well if you hit udate keys and it doesnt get the proper keys hit update keys in the IRC section and be patient it will get them for you .. and the rom 10x Utility is performing very good and fast too.. the Keyupdate is hanging in the top area also .. just my two cents .. The rom10x is my favorite of the tools, it is not updated by a human, a pc pulls the keys from the stream and updates the server. Way better then waiting on a person to do it.

Great post with links...BUT, I think 1 thing need to be mentioned ...the sites that are associated with these key grabbers all use "humans" that actually input the keys into their respective site key utility programs...so the speed of the keys posted and utility is ONLY based upon who (which person) inputs them first!...now the other added functions with the key finders/grabbers vary and are useful...but 1 site is NOT better than another for posting current changed keys...it all depends on the person inputting them at that day and time at each site....there is NO magic and a direct link to Dishnet and Bev official sites to computer generate the keys into these utility programs!....most sites have stream loggers who monitor this, and will change the keys in their utilities, ONCE they are activated..

Also..for the "B" key change today approximately at 12:30pm EST, Keymaster 2.0 was the First and ONLY one to have the changed keys posted..most still don't now have the new keys posted at their sites or in their assiciated utilities!...and the each sites "keymaster" can go in annd post any time he wants...so don't let that fool U, as far as who was first..., cause I've been paying close attention to this as I knew there was a change coming a few hours ago and had read this thead, so I wanted to know the First utility to work correctly with the new keys ..

This is not 100% right. This is true for all the utilities except the rom10x utility. There is a pc logging the stream, looking for key changes, that automagicaly updates the rom10x server long before the key goes active. It will update as soon as a new key enters the stream.

It's new, but by far the best key utility ever made to date.

Actually I paid special attention to the rom10 grabber...it was dead last in key changes!....it cannot be 'stream" generated, or the stream was DEAD but the keys were ACTIVE!...sorry but the fact are the facts today!...Both Keymaster and Keyripper had posted the new keys BUT rom10 still hadn't within 30 minutes of those!

I would suggest you do some reading on the topic.

Thill has been around a long time and I have never known him to fib about what is happening or what he is seeing. Thing to remember here is don’t always believe everything that is posted about how hi-tech someone’s new program is. I have nothing against 10x but I do believe that they are all about the money. Too many changes keep happening that requires you to become a “Site Supporter” and I see it getting worse, not better. Add that to advertiser prostitution and protection makes me believe they are starting to look more like a dealer site then a freeware site. The place was started and even centered around Penga and his coding (and a fight with CC, I do miss that place) but even he seems to not be there very often anymore. Matter of fact, many of the coders that were there when they started seem to be hanging out less or not at all. However, that’s the nature of this hobby I guess.

Actual honestly I have never visited rom10 site,, and don't know their politics..I do use CC and many other sites and know of Penga etc ..I was not bashing any site at all or their key finders and ONLY speaking of various key grabbers in general...and their workings and timeliness..and my personal observations yesterday....another here apparently tends to disbelieve me and my credibility or think that I'm a newbie I guess, thats his perogative...my life will go on...and so will my observations, testing, and honesty!

Which is exactly why I suggested another poster do some reading on the topic. I thought if he educated himself to the development of that project, and what is being done with it in comparison to the more traditional key utilities, that he would see why this key utility will soon be the stanbdard which others are measured by.

He would be able to see that there have been several bumps in the road while setting this up, that it has gone up and down a few times, but that the ultimate goal is to produce an emu for prossesing the b1's corectly and calculating keys in real time, and that this has been achieved for the most part. He would also learn which providers it is working for at this time, and which are not yet working, and why, as well as other goals of the project that will eventualy have this key utility writing to cards with the most popular public blockers etc.

I am not sure why he has gotton so upset, simply because I posted something that mentioned that what he had said was not 100% true about all key grabbers and human input. I am shocked at what I read, I have never seen this poster behave like this before so maybe he took what I said wrong, or was having a bad day, I don't know.

I was simply pointing out that this utility was cooler then the rest, even if it's not 100% functional/working yet.

You download the key grabbers onto your computer. Extract the files with WinRar, then run the program from your computer PC. The program will display the latest keys. Then you take that info and apply to your box. If you're using FTA box go to the respective FTA forum and post your question. If this is for Dsh box then post in general Dsh Newbie forum.

I don't think Rom10x Key Grabber V1.1 posted earlier in this thread, works on any computer anymore...not mine since past month at least...its still opens and executes but has weird numbers etc...not actual keys..It was very good for fast DN keys..but there are many other key finders and links..

I have just tried to use "KeyRipper v3.1" it tells me after I have installed it that it is nolonger going to work. As of 1 Aug it has been shut down

Key ripper was associated with dssevolution that is now a pay site...I suggest U use keymaster 4.0 utility...there are very few key utilities around anymore..there are some sites, like here, that post them on their homepage..without a need to enter their forums..

You can use VSKEY to send you an automatic email when it detects the new keys. You can also define time interval for the program to check and grab the keys. This program also allow you to update these keys in the receiver.

I would start by replacing Capacitors C13 and C 14 on the power supply board.
If that doesn't fix your problem----then move on to replacing the Tip42C transistor on the main board.

I have been reading the forums but have not seen anything about this issue. Would like to know if there is a program where you can place the new keys into your stb using the USB. This would be a really easy way of placing the new keys when needed instead of doing it manually. Thankyou all for any assistance

I'll get this right yet, I've downloaded everything about the key grabber and it works great, but you could tell me if there are any new min and max tier numbers? I am soooo new here I'm not sure if I should be asking that quetion here or not, thanks for your help with the key grabber.
