NEWBIE QUESTION: I am receiving channel list, everything but sound and picture. I am receiving unscrambled channels but not scrambled. I have the latest bin flashed into receiver.What am I not doing????

Make sure that DN autoroll is turned on... which bin version is installed? neusat released new bins yesterday....

How do you check the autoroll? I installed the latest version (out yesterday) and only got black and white picture. Still then only received unscrambled channels. Reinstalled the 8/16 bin and got color back.

I don't have the premium... but I would think the menus are pretty close to the same menu>user setup>DN autoroll on... also mr neusat said to do a factory default load the latest file then reset antenna settings and and rescan your birds...

I have looked everywhere in setup for autoroll setting. Did not find. I did a factory default, loaded the latest bin and rescanned the sats. Not sure what you mean by resetting antenna settings. Still have black and white picture and can only view unscrambled stations.

Your antenna (dish) settings are where you set up your satellites, lnb and switch settings that is in the installation menu first (orange)icon in the main menu... that should be where you are scanning your satellites from as well... the user preference menu is the third (green)icon in the main menu... this is where you will find the autoroll settings down near the bottom of page you will need to scroll down to it.... make sure it is on if you don't see DN autoroll then you have the factory bin installed and needs to be changed to SP6004pre-1.zip you can find this file in the neusat file area in the fta files on this site...

you hit red button on remote ,than set it for all
channel, or you can set it just for the free one

I have Neusat 6000 premium and I loaded sp6004pre-1.bin first and then latest SP6005pre.bin. Then i changed DN autoroll to ON. Still no picture or sound. I am confused by this:
"After loading NEW file (sp6005pre), any time you want to load the factory bin back to the Neusat 6000 Premium, you will have to load the NEW factory bin file that we have released with this new upgrade". Please explain.

Mr Neusat made the bins check to make sure the receiver model is correct before flashing the rom... that way you can't accidentally kill your receiver with the wrong bin file.... I'm sure the latest factory bin does this as well...

There are three bins available:
1. sp6000_premium_factory.bin dated 6/2/2006
2. sp6004pre-1.bin (fix to DN autoroll)
3. sp2005pre.bin
What is "NEW factory bin file that we have released with this new upgrade"??
Is newer bin from neusat available?
Also, please provide detailed bin installation procedure; first, second, and how to flush system etc
