hi,i have buzz s2010f (azan inside).read few stuff,how to feed in the latest file..now the problem is i connect my buzz to comp.open downloader.exe and connect and then download file,browese the latest file .i turn off buzz for few seconds and on it again..but nothing happens then...no file nothing goes in buzz...can someone tell me if i m missing some part or doing something wrong..comp port are ok....someone did progam it earlier for me..but it blowed off and i want to do it myself now...can someone please help me out....please..thankyou.

Did you extract the file before loading it in the downloader;also check closely that you have the right file for your model box.

Are you using the cable that came with the Buzz, a null modem serial cable ? And are you turning if off at the rear switch ? ( a necessity )

A null modem cable has the transmit and receive wires ( pins 2 and 3 ) crossed in the cable , so that piin 2 on one end links to pin 3 at the other end, and vice versa. A straight cable connects pin 2 to pin 2 and pin 3 to pin 3 . Some FTA use a straight cable, some FTA use null modem cable. The Buzz ships with a null modem cable.

The Pansats 2500/2700 use a straight thru not the same as Buzz with the Null style the one you speak of is not
Null as mentioned by brent is the correct discription of what you need
And as far as the S2010f goes you can run the Buzz Plus on it and not get any problems.
Ive done it am running the plus on the S2010f now!
Make sure you un zip the file before loading also if you dont need ths Azan feature you can use the Buzz file that doesnt have the Azan either way.

what is a "special" null modem cable?

isn't it either straight thru or null?

I keep trying and trying to load my plus, with a "null" cable, and the loder isn't doing anything.

Do you have a VOM meter, to check continuity of the pins , from one end to the other? It's certainly possible that your cable is bad.
