BigByte 11-06-2006, 06:09 PM You could use it for true FTA keyless 11-13-2006, 03:40 PM What do you mean yse it as a true FTA could you please explain what u mean thanks in advance Keyless tyrader2000 11-15-2006, 07:41 AM OK, hook it up to a motorized dish or a 30"+ with a universal LNB and get true FTA channels (non encoded ones). There are many lists out there of these sats and channels. The BB has blind search function which is sweet when searching these sats. Best of all you don't have to worry about ECM's or key rolls, (or a knock at your door). The selection of channels isn't as great (for english only) but you can get more than enough to make it worth your time. Look at Lynsat and check out the ones that are "free". Later TY i never heard of the BB having a hardware blind scan...( or as you called it a blind srearch..) i have a BB , and played a round with it last week on my 90cm dish with a linear lnbf,,,, as far as i know you have to manually put in the TP info and everything to scan in... i tried a SBS6 scan for ONN with no info for the Sat and TPs, and got nothing,, and my Pans found it no prob on same LNBf at same time.... 9ballplayer 01-19-2007, 11:05 PM i never heard of the BB having a hardware blind scan...( or as you called it a blind srearch..) i have a BB , and played a round with it last week on my 90cm dish with a linear lnbf,,,, as far as i know you have to manually put in the TP info and everything to scan in... i tried a SBS6 scan for ONN with no info for the Sat and TPs, and got nothing,, and my Pans found it no prob on same LNBf at same time.... Had two BBs. The last bin that worked for "some ch. on 110" was deleted about 1month ago. Sorry. It was good enough for about 6 months after the HU card demise, but the other FTA units have support now. Chalk it up two "Times are changing". My to BBs are still sitting on the shelf! |
