OK, so you modded the Dish and arm.. Nice job.. looks very neat ...

I jumped into this thread thinking that I was gonna see a PhaseIII LNB tricked up or something.. you sure know how to toy with a guy's emotions..!! Yup, I wouldn't mind a couple of those P3 dishes.. they certainly have great gain... should work awesome with a DPtwin or what you have with them as well... have you noticed any performance improvement over what you had before.?? or was there anything to compare it to.?

119w signal seem to improved a little bit up to 97% ( depend on tp ) 110w about the same as before ( Poorman dish ) the other about 47% to 68% depend on tp ,but most of the channels are watchable.
I think it would work well with dptwin or even legacy lnb. I've tested them on an 18" dish use Y-yoke and shorten the arm 2 1/2" and here are the pictures

Those pics have to go...put them in a folder and zip them up and post them. Another option would be a Pic hosting site with a link to it.

OUCH.!! bandwidth and storage costs out the window.. :o :cry: Dang, I opened a few, and they were soo big, they almost blew up my 21" monitor..!!!

Hi, this is my poormans dish, i live in mexico, i use this 90cm single antenna, then add another arm to convert it to dish 500 to get 110 & 119, great quality signal. regards to everyone on us.

Would this setup work for 110° 119° and 61°? If not....what would I need to do this?

61 is way too far to get on this dish. I'm not sure if there's much of a mod that will allow you to get all three of those in one dish.

I enjoy the big pics. I have a Phase III dish just laying around and thanks to the large pics. I will can start detailing how I will mod my dish.

Do a search for irfan view, It's freeware. You can resize pic and alot more

I will start my testing of my Phase III Dish with a single lnb. I will mount the dish on my tripod and run some test this weekend.

Instead of cutting arm off, how's this? I have a Dish 500 already up with 110 and 119 with a DP Quad, yoke, etc. Why can't I just remove the reflector the Dish 500 one and put the Direct TV Phase 3 one in it's place. Would that work?
Just wondering; as a bigger reflector would help with signal and rain fade.

I beleive that you may have an issue with holes in the dish not lining up correctly also I got me a dish 1000 and thaught that i would make a dish 1000.2 dish and use the tripple lnb ..(wrong the dish arm isnt long enough)

It worked. I took off the Dish 500 reflector and put the Phase 3 reflector on just removed the 4 bolts and did the ol' switcheroo....LOL!
Now to get the HEAVY Hughesnet Dish up for FTA.
