I just got a 311 Rev283 from fleabay, I’ve done a lot of reading & I’m ready to begin. I’m just debating whether to cut traces or to remove the chip. I have all the tools needed to do either or. Just want to know the advantages of both mods.

What I really want to do is to remove the chip and use the card slot from the ird. So my question is once the chip is removed and used in conjunction with the card slot what revision does it becomes once it is unlocked??? Is it just like a regular rom 102???
