Good Evening,

I know and feel all the frustration from all the users of the Magnum XV3300. The frustration you are feeling is coming to an end. The attached files enable the built in card reader on the magnum to accept a rom102 card. This will allow the unit to receive all the channels that you are accustomed to.

We also are in the process of making the unit write to an unlocked card using our ALREADY INCLUDED IN THE UNIT - BUILT IN CARD READER. NO ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT NEEDED. This feature will be ready in few days.

This fix can be used as a full solution and/or a backup to a soon to be released CARDLESS solution.

This file does not have the auto roll function complete yet. The next file with auto roll will be released in a day or so. So until then you will have to manually enter the keys.

Other updates in this file:

1. EPG display error (incorrectly displaying a specific program info)...corrected.
2. Radio content info display....improved.
3. "Auto roll on/off "....added up (The option is in place in this bin to be turned on shortly)
4. GMT setup (offset) by the unit of 30 mins.....added up.

This file allows you to program the AUX solution to an unlocked 102 card using the.
All ready built in card reader without the need of buying a extra ISO.

With a unlocked 102 card incerted into your Magnum box follow these instructions to the letter.

1. LOAD FILE - XV3300v111 - TO MAGNUM

2. Press MENU on the remote control

3. Move cusor to “EMBEDDED CAS”

4. Move to option “SMART CARD"

5. PRESS "OK"

6. Press the Red Button on the remote control to write to a unlocked 102 card.

You will see in the lower right hand corner - "SC ROM 102 Upgrade".

Magnum 103 AUX 09-01-2006

This AUX file will enable the built in card reader on the magnum to accept a ROM103 card.

If you have the latest unit release file (xv3300v111 08-22-06) you do not need to update receiver.
This rom103 aux file will work with that file already loaded in receiver.

This aux file will need to be loaded in a rom103 card with an iso programmer.

This will only be for a short while as we are in the process of making the unit write to an unlocked rom103 card using our included in unit card reader. No additional equipment needed. The bin for this functionality will be released shortly.

We look forward to supporting the needs of the Magnum XV3300 owners, with the goal of NO down time what so ever. We feel having a choice of multiple card solutions in one unit is the best overall solution for end users. We feel this will bring down the cost of the cards needed to use this type of solution.

Wait for it to say "GOOD" on the front of the Magnum, then Power OFF, wait 10 seconds, then Power ON via the switch at the back). Then power on with the remote.

This Magnum unit file (XV3300v114) has been upgraded to work with the existing Aux card file for rom102 and rom103. If you already have a Aux solution file written on your rom102 or rom103 card you do not need to rewrite it. Just load this file to unit and place card into unit. Watch TV.
