I have bin 123 loaded in CS 6K, and it turns on fine. I can perform all functions with the remote, I'm able to restore to factory setting and all. However it wouldn't load new (or any) bin 131/132, even factory bin (bin 100). COM port seem to be working fine with other FTA, and I'm using NULL cable - I was able to flash it before loading bin 123. I'm usgin Pro-Loader v2.2.
Anyone have any idea whats goin on? I don't think it is clone, atleast seller sold me as genuine. Can Coolsat 6K be jtagged? any ideas will be appreciated.
I have tried every possible way - loading factory bin, turning on in milliseconds after clicking download and other ways suggested on this forum
Friend6;
I believe all Coolsats use a straight cable believe only DB uses a null one.

are you sure you have the 6000 bin ? sorry but i had to ask. and........ when you click on connect, let it tell you to turn on rec. then flip switch on back. DONT use the 132, just use 131 for now.......

It wouldn't even load bin 123 that I loaded earlier successfully, so I'm sure bins I'm trying to load are compatible. I turn CS on after clicking connect, the button lable change from exit to cancel, but message "Connect your reciever and turn in on..." stays there.

You said you turn on coolsat after clicking connect. The way I do it is starting with coolsat off, connect cable to cpu and coolsat. Then turn coolsat on. Open up coolsat loader (there is a new loader by the way--2.4 works for me you can get it here http://forums.dsstester.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=51182).
Hit AutoDetect to make sure cpu can connect ("see") the coolsat. If so, the loader will identify the current bin on the box--in your case it should say 123. If you made it here then connections good. Next Browse for the new bin and Connect to update the box. Do this and let us know where the coolsat/loader gives error.

Used Loader 2.4 - still same error "connect your reciever and turn it on..." and it tries to autodetect on COM 3 & 4.
Loader 2.2 autodected bin version 1.25 on STb - but thats it, it is not going beyon that point...

Strange that you got a null modem cable to work with that 6000...
You can try rebooting your cpu and retry the connection. If the cable's connected tight to box and cpu and loader won't load the bin, I suggest getting a new cable, preferably the rs232c straight through. It's possible the cable you have is damaged. But I'm thinking not the right cable. Try the straight through and you might be surprised.

@friend6,
I have a problem the same as yours. Loader could detect bin version in CS but could not load new bin. It turned out that I had another application which also using com1. For my case, the app which interfered with Loader 2.4 was Scenarist.
For your case, you have to find out if there is another application(s) which also using rs232 com ports, and stop them. Or you can try to load you new bin in safe mode.

yes, probably was problem with COM port. Used different laptop and was able to load bin afterwards with v2.4 loader. Thanks for everyone's help. Please close this thread.
