Viewsat has proved once again that they are commited to the community and released a fix for the 09/19 $3B hash. It would seem their previous work has paid off.

Concerning Pansat BL has made a small statement:

First im sorry for wait. We are work hard day and nights to get all pansat receivers working.

We found the Information we are missin but way better Information once we finished next hit will take us 2 hours after we updated automaticly will get PIC.

Guess you might call this Strike 2 for BL and Pansats.
If BL can't release a working bin for Pansats in a week I would say Pansats are a dead issue.
Only problem now is DN now knows that Viewsat coders have the full dump of a 102 which means card upgrade is in the future.

This would seem to show some evidence that the processor in the pansat is underpowered...(too slow to decrypt the stream before it times out).. owning both I can say the viewsat xtreme outperforms the 3500sd in scan autoroll and changing channel speed....

In my opinion, Pansats are already a dead issue. Even if they do come out with a fix in the next week or two, judging from their track record, why would anyone purchase a Pansat? Maybe I am crazy, but I can't see very many people who are in the market to buy an FTA receiver running out and buying a Pansat.

Perhaps, but a card swap of this magnitude is not a 10 minute procedure. They would have to swap something like 10 or 12 million cards and that will take awhile and will cost a small fortune.

Yep, last card swat cost DN 250 Million Dollars and the new card was hacked before they completed the card swap.
You can be sure if they do another card swap they will think long and hard about it.
The next swap may just include a new receiver to go along with the new card.
Seems like it may be the only thing they can do at this point.

Exactly. They are going to roll out all the Mpeg4 boxes eventaully anyway and I'd think that those boxes will contain an entirely new encryption system that is cardless. I doubt you'll see another swap..ever.

try scaning on different TP 's ,not all of them work....I had similar problem ,but was trying different tp's and/or settting for lnbf frequency depending what kind of lnbf u have, and ull eventualy get more than 130 channels....and PPV....

Hasn't every cardless box come with a cardreader? Which is an admission there is a chance that the encryption might be compromised such that they will have to issue cards for the cardless receivers to change the encryption. This itself would constitute a card "swap" but it certainly would set the stage for a future swap, where there is actually something to swap out.

I had the same problem but I did a blind scan on 61.5 and I`m getting over 130 channels.

Hey Guys, Captiveworks Premium Cardless Is Out

How do the receivers from DN work that have no cards like their DVR's?

Anyone know if the cardless fix is up and running for the coolsat 6000 box? I'm putting up my dish tonight and setting everything else up and wanted to know if I'm going to get my channels once it gets going.

A couple posts at another site say possibly after midnite(cardless coolsat). Personally I think coolsat is content with carded fix, Although after seeing smaller stb companies with cardless who knows?

When I bought Viewsat, I did some research and everyone seem to say they are the best. Theve got great sensitivity and features. I've not regreted this buy. Keep up the good work. Keep those files coming.

Exactly the same. They simply take all the electronics in their smart cards and instead of putting them in a plastic card put them in a chip that is soldered to the mother board.
