I'm having trouble getting my boxkeys out of a model 3000 ird. The receiver was subbed legit at one point with 288-01 rom2 card. It was then used married sub until the Nov27.ecm. Did the fixes for this by reading/writing/locking eeprom chip.
I read if the card was subbed it has the boxkeys on it. Is this true? I dumped the card with freetalk1.3, which created a .ne3 file and a .bin, then tried to read the file with xcel2.0 and 3.0, but it tells me "version not supported".
What can I do to get my boxkeys?? The 3000 doesn't have a jtag port and the mods I have read about to read the tsop seem pretty complex.
I want to use this for dish emu. Should the tsop be locked? It looks like they can tell if you do this??

first offyou say your card is a rom2, the file you mentioned ne3 is for rom3 card, use nagraedit dump cam go to eeprom data your boxkeys will be there if you have a good dump..

Thanks decoder3. You were right, it is a .ne2 file.My mistake. But still when imported to xcel I get "invalid rev number". My cam dump said "rev054". Any suggestions?Thanks

I don't use Xcel too much...not even for my Rom2, die-hard NE fan.

If you open up your Ne2 file in NE 2.0, (just change configuration for Rom2) box keys will be at starting address $E953, unless you wrote the latest fix for Rom2's (Willy fix? posted by Goding I think it was) to the card, in that event they were moved to starting address $EC53 :D

Rev054 is correct, that is the latest I think, been awhile since I've messed with mine...:rolleyes:
