A few days ago rumours began circling that the German DSS provider Premiere in Europe (which had also been hashed ala DN/B3V) was once again compromised. This seemed to indicate that we would all see a solution for FTA here in North America very soon and today this has become a reality.

Viewsat was first out of the gates but expect the other providers to follow suit shortly. Autoroll is not yet working but this has been promised to follow in a few days. Be sure to disable autoroll and enter your keys manually to test this file. Both Platinum and Extreme files are included.

No guide issues here with mine...all channels populating fully on either 202 or 2212 for 18 hours. 5 total birds.

My guide isn't working as it should and my DPP lnb is acting a little weird. My VSP worked much better with 2 old style lnbs and a switch. I'm happy at this point, it's progress. I do expect Charlie to be rolling keys, close to every day. We'll just have see how the bin stays up. I'm not going to do a bunch a changes to lnbs until we how stable things are but, I'm very pleased for now.:hat:

Go to Menu, then 5) Options, and Autoroll is third from bottom. However, as someone just posted, a fix with autoroll is out now so you can get that file and leave autoroll on.

i heard from a friend that goes through a clone sight that view sat wont release how they hacked the code because they want to sell more boxs i hope he is wrong but if view sat is the solution it beets buying card reader finding 102 card and programmer curently testing multistar pantec coolsat 5000 plat .i see view sat has a plat file i wonder what happens if try to put it on cs plat? ive put fortec files before on my pantec it reconfig my box and would say fortec when i turn on changed it back later no problems hopefuly somthing new soon

What I find interesting about this whole thing is you cant get on BL's web home. All you get is a great big advertisement for viewstats and a notice that the site is too busy. I wouldn't rush out and buy a Viewsat until the fix has proven its stability and many have already reported overheating problems, but it's your decision.

I know that the pansat bins have been working on the lifetime ultra. Is that still the case and has it been tested on the lifetime ultra?

Egyptian Mafia the overheating issue is there, just check 121 sat and you'll see that some weaker tp's are getting pixelated after a while of watching but once the box is turned off to seat for a couple of minutes and then turned back on the pixel-vision is gone until another heat wave, which doesn't happened on 110 or 119, or happened with previous bins.

The info came from this site. I just stated my opinion on a new fix that hasn't been tested very long and is likely to be hit soon. The length of time for the release of the next fix should provide folks with the info needed to make a wiser purchasing decision. If I owned a Viewsat I would sell it now while prices are up. :yes:

I was told the same thing. a buddy of mine is testing a fortec file on a pansat 2500a he says it works but after twelve hours it freezes then you have to reflash the box has anyone herd about that :blink: correct me if im wrong

You are correct, the bin has clone kill code in it and it has to be removed first.....except the bin is useless for a Pansat too. You can remove the clone kill code and you'd be in the same boat...with nothing. :no:

theres a new FTA reciever in the market its called a T.E.S sat reciever and do you want DISH NET back and wide open and cant wait for the coders to fix it this is the reciever of the future:)

Looks like new tes needs router connection to a server to decrypt signal until a cardless fix is available.

New files for FTA are in the appropriate files section for your receiver.
If there is none in your Receiver section then it means they have not been released yet.
If by chance you happen to own a Viewsat, Sonicview or Buzz receiver then you are in luck.

One thing for certain , it's being worked on ! How much effort is being put into the solution ? That's the question ,I would like to see updates on the progress of the card less solution as well as everyone else.

I really would not buy another Coolsat I would look at the Viewsat .
It comes with a built in card reader and IT HAS A CARDLESS FIX right now.
Why would you support Coolsat if they won't support the equipment they have already sold you.
Besides it is the same price as a card reader and you still have to get the card.

viewsat might come with a cardreader, but the coders have vowed not to implement it..
