"thanks to gurney:

Very suprised no public fix out already... it takes 15 minutes to do. take mcg306j and change one of the signatures at the end of the eep file for the signature of the new EMM cmd 64 packet.

Here, replace 4 last lines of eep in mcg306j.pfg with this

:100110001EFF75454CFD2D9300156A555AC6F743D1
:100120002A1F6C4DADDED3370D5AABA716EAE7D1C7
:020130001FB2FC
:00000001FF

and you'll have mcg308."

I sent AVR308Fix to milez to post in the files section. It has the edits posted above and is already packaged with Jeepers for those that do not feel comfortable making the edits themselves. This change's one of the signatures at the end of the eep file for the signature of the new EMM cmd 64 packet. I think this is alot like the Guardian AVR that has made it through many of the Dish ECM's.

Ok, heres my problem. One of my avr's will only take a program from eepedit. The other one is ok with jeepers, which I have already changed the script in, thanks for that fix:) . Can anyone tell me how to (if I can) change the script in eepedit w/mcg307? Any help would be great!

Well dont get your hopes up too high, this is just a temp fix that passes the current cmd60(emm$00 and $64) and doesnt process it like the cards do

Does this "fix" (mgc308...) take care of the latest ecm? I'm getting 00000001 messages in my location box! Not sure what that means, but currently I'm AFU and will gladly take any recommendations!

I have the 0000001 as well and the only way to fix it is to write to the tsop use a jtag reader/writer. The mcg308 fix alone will not work for our models.

Thanks JD. Gonna order a TSOP reader/writer right now. How difficult is it to rewrite the TSOP?

Once the IRD is hit it needs to be fixed first, hopefully you have a backed up copy of the tsop....If not there are bins out on the net for the more popular models......

Basically the fix is not for the IRD's just to keep the avr's from causing the problem again.....

I'm running on BEV and tried the MCG308 but it doesn't fix it. I know the hardware is the same but the stream is different. Used jEEPers to load it in. Wondering if anybody knows of a BEV fix or if the fix has worked for them on a BEV stream and give me some info on what I did wrong and how to do it right.
