I did program it but i had the black screen problem, so according to the fourm reply i didn't applied good scripts so i was gonna do it again.
I did vid mod it but accoding to the guide while doing vid mod i should get D500 in data field but i am getting FFFF. but i changed it with 0000 and did program , confirmed with read agian then erase the flash but when i tried to load the moded flash with new scripts i get

silvfox12000 07-16-2006, 04:19 PM Did you ground r79? Some receivers will need this while others do not. thanks

vidmod id good
r79 is grounded and i am not using a buffered jtag , but i used the same very jtag that i used on this recievber a couple of days ago and it worked fine
i am using rom 102 , and that card works perfectly on my 2700 and my 301-10
this is what i do :
first of all i modified my original tsop with flashedit 2.0.a2 and also the eeprom ,
now when i click pn jkeys i get ird # r0000000000-96 and boxkey all FFF's and the rest is garbage values.
i click on flash programming and i change the single programming location address to 7FFFFFAC and click on read ( on the bottom and i get FFFF in the data i change that to 0000 and click program ( the one on the bottom ) and now i full erase 3 times then i click on program to put in my modified tsop , sometimes halfway through or sometimes earlier i get the error i mention in the first post
so i am stuck here
thanx
silvfox12000 07-16-2006, 05:02 PM OK This what to try. Find another tsop that has already been changed on one of the sites. Hook up you jtag, erase three times. Write the new tsop and eeprom to your receiver. do not make any changes to anything. Try that and let me know.
If you need a tsop PM with your email and I will send you one that is working and see if that will write.
Thanks
daman2000 08-09-2006, 08:19 PM I'm experiencing the same problem as Hashusp; getting an error message when programming my 301.13 single tsop ird, which is "Error programming flash at offset 0x7fffff40".
I got this receiver from Hazzard (so far, it looks like a nice piece of work...would recommend - sounds like an ebay review) with all the goodies; db25 port integrated on the back with switches for R79 ground and vid mod. Which leads me to my next question:
How does vidmod and writing to a TSOP relate and what are the steps?
The references that I'm using say that vid mod is if you get ECM'd or the 349 error. Might be really old references since I'm a newbie.
So what should I do when writing with jkeys?

daman2000 08-21-2006, 08:02 PM So I've followed these steps and on step 20 (when flashing modded TSOP), I get the same error. Any other ideas?
Big Dismal 08-22-2006, 04:51 AM Check and make sure you have a good ground. Yuo may also want to try the program called "Walls" to see if you can program. Walls is good, but it is very plain and can give write errors sometimes due to speed, but playing with it can get you going when you have problems with Jkeys.
Are you sure you are using the correct version of Jkeys?

Does anybody know the solution to this?? I have read in several posts that a lot of us are having this problem and the recommended "tries are not working!!
Different jtags, wqall and kjeys do not seem able to resurect IRD 301.013's that have the flash erased. Is there a version of wall / jkeys written for 301.013 single TSOPs that works for this problem?
This forum is pointing to other posts that do not have the solution. Does anybody have a fix for this, there appear to be a lot of testers stuck on this. I personally know of five others with the same problem.
Help!
pf100 09-17-2006, 12:25 AM I brought back a completely dead 301.13 so you can too. There is an art to getting them back to life. If you're having problems writing to them then make sure your vid mod was done correctly and make sure you run the ground to the ird's case. Make sure you have between 11.5 to 12.5 volts supplied for your vid mod. Make sure the R79 pad closest to the jtag port is grounded.
If you can't get it to work after you finally get it to write to the tsop and eeprom without errors and making sure all of the stuff I mentioned is okay, most likely when you read the original tsop you got a corrupted saved bin. I did and didn't know it. I wasted a lot of time with that. Also, the final write that got it working was virgin eeprom first, then tsop. Not sure if that's important though and probably contradicts other info.
Here's a thread that helped me get mine working. It shows how even if you completely trash it you can get it back using wall and then jkeys:
http://forums.dsstester.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=47214
"ERROR PROGRAMMING FLASH AT OFFSET 0X7FC10800" means incorrrectly done vid mod
"ird # r0000000000-96 and boxkey all FFF's and the rest is garbage values" is corrupted saved bin.
""Error programming flash at offset 0x7fffff40" is incorrectly done vid mod.
Above all else make sure the voltage is right and everything is grounded that's supposed to be grounded. Try el_vaquero's 301.13 pack http://forums.dsstester.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=66342 even if it doesn't match your board's build config (as long as it's a single tsop).
If all else fails try jtagging with a faster computer. Just don't give up. It's possible to bring them back to life. If something doesn't work, try something different.
