Too bad there isn't more MPEG4 compatible hardware out there. Lyngsat is showing HBO West, Starz West, and Encore west as free and clear now (BUT broadcast in MPEG4). Also Discovery HD Theater, HBO HD are on that transponder on ECHO 1.2 @148W.

Apparently, D!sh doesn't think they need to encrypt the MPEG4 stuff because of the lack of hardware for it. Unfortunately, I'm sure that will quickly change when / if the hardware becomes popular. :sad:

some pci cards support a flavor of mpeg4 ,I'll have to point my dish there and check it out

Let me know, it'd be a risk to buy hardware but if someone had some already, it'd be worth checking out. I did an FTA scan of Echo 1.2 to see if my pansat even recognised the channels, it did not even find them, It had 0% quality on that TP even, probably because of the format difference.

Sub, try looking at alibaba.com, i saw some there.
then use that brand name in google.
Thats how i found the FTA+DVD player combo.
