Well I got a bug about 2hrs ago that all pansats would be back up on on b4 Saturday! Like I said that is clearly RUMOR! It did not come from BL himself, but from anothere coder. Howbout you Pappa, I know youve heard something, sinse this is a BS thread anyway share it with us.

I have been searching for this myself. My last conclusion is that you can find a sets of good channels in 123W Galaxy 10R. You need a Linear LNB for this bird. However, I have not tried it myself yet bacause I am still trying to figure out where to place the dish. I will happen soon.

123W has the best FTA selection I've found, about 16 channels, I think.

This may be the wrong place to ask this...but it seems like the majority of these FTA boxes are pointed and charlie or beverly birds. I understand from looking at lyngsat that there are lots more birds out there some with true fta channels. Most use some sort of encryption. Obviously the nagra2 birds are unwatchable. What other encryption scheems can these boxes handle, or has no one explored this? A motorized 30" dish with a liniar lnb could see from 148w to 61w. That's a pretty big chunk of sky.

Pretty much anything that can be packed in a bin.
but you shouldn't need that since there are several thousand channels available.
The Viewsat for instance ALSO uses the european bin and plays everything quite well.
Thing is though, a lot of movies have foreign sub-titles.
