Hello guys
I have a Mercury II and I have instaled the new bin file, I'd like to know if i have to do something else for this fortec in order to receive the echo 7 (119),
Is possible for the fortec to search transpordes from one sat and find the transporder of another one
for example I have my dish pointed to satmex 116 and I did a p scan for the 119
and i find 18 tp i got 18 channels i look for those channels in a channel list of the echo 7 and they do not belong to that sat :)

please help
Best regards

Hello
Yesterday I was trying again, I am using the satmex 116 as a reference cause it was the first sat i found, this sat is supoused to be 2 degrees up and 2 degrees left of the Echo 7 119 in the place I live (Honduras, Cortes, San pedro Sula)
so I set the dish to be pointing to 119 and I am getting nothing when i make a Power SCAN, I found that the transporders I have to get are something like this
12224, R, 20000 (31 canales)
12239, L, 20000 (10 canales)
12253, R, 20000 (42 canales)
They have to be right and left, but the mercury doesn't have this kind of signal, just the Hor and Vertical,

I need someone to advice me about what to do, or how do i get the sat

Best Regards
Manuel

You have to point at 119 to get it...telling the reciever to do it doesn't work , it will still only scan what the dish is aimed at. After you get it pointed aproximately where you want it you will have to move it a couple degrees at a time until you get the highest signal quality posible. Make sure you are aiming with a transponder that is available in your area- go to lyngsat.com to look up the available transponders in your area for the bird you want. after that do a blind scan...that will scan all the transponders available to you. Gl and happy testing
