I could use some help here guys. I am brand new to this adventure and after
a little research I bought the Ariza Extreme, Eliptical dish, three lnb`s and the
Diseq switch.
I set it all up, flashed the box with the latest bin
I get plenty of signal strengh (70%-90%) but nothing on the quality of signal
indicator.
When it scans it comes up with no chanells and nothing to update.
Where did I go wrong (don`t say being born)
Thanks Ed

Aiming the dish. I've only been doing this a couple weeks, but I use an inline satellite finder to optimize my signal strength, then use the quality bar of the receiver to "fine tune" the signal. I'd personally direct cable the center LNB and concentrate on aiming that one at your satellite of choice. Once you're confident that you can do that , proceed to work with the other LNB's and the switch.

you want to make sure your cable is under 100'. buy pass the switch untill u get good sig. if u have an inline amp put it as close to the lnb end as u can. also on the extreem you can try increasing your voltage range going to the lnb for long cables. when you are using your sat finder to align the dish rember to keep turining down the gain and peak out the meter and repeet. untill you cant get any better. do this on your center lnb. let us know how u make out. and good luck.
Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!
I took out everything except the center lnb, realized that mag north is not true north, wired it direct to the receiver, moved the dish 20' across the roof (I didn't think the neighbour would appreciate me cutting down his tree, he has no sense of humor and when his wife was born her mother beat her with an UGLY STICK) Then wonder of wonders Echostar 7 with 40 channels at last count.
Again guys THANK YOU VERY MUCH, all I needed was a little guidence in the
right direction. Ed
