hey guys i really really need help with my orasat 5.0 receiver....what happened is one day i scan my receiver and since then i don't see any american channels in my reciever guide.channels like espn news,hbo,ppv,cnn,and cinemax...all of them...please if you guys know how to setup please help me out....i had already tried to put bin file but nothing happeneds....even i have reset my receiver to a factory reset and put the bin file again...but nothing happed..please help me out..because i don't want to miss nba playoffs and other things....help me soon as you can guys...

it's all just lnb configuration....which satellites are you aiming at and how you connect the cables???

hi patrick thanks for replying...here is my lnb config..here is my dish setup outside...for dish 500 have twin lnb and all together i have four wires coming down but out of four its only 2 which connected to the twin lnbs through switch and two of them not...thats how it is from begining..for dish 300 i have one lnbs (single) that has two wire connected top lnb to switch..because i get channels from dish 300 but not from 500...i don't know why..patrick if you can reply soon.....thanks............

if i am you, this is how i do, look to the dish500 from it's front
*connect the first left port lnb out to the diseqc switch port 1
*connect the fourth port lnb out to the diseqc switch port 2
*connect the lnb out from dish300 to diseqc switch port 3

the lnb type = standard for all three
frequency hi lo = 11250 for all
lnb power = on for all
22khz = off for all
echostar 6,8 diseqc = 1
echostar 7 diseqc = 2
international??? diseqc =3

thanks for reply...yeah patrick i know you told me to change the wires but i haven't tried to change wires yet..but if you can help me with this...this is what happens when i tried..ok first...when i got to my lnb settings in orasat...and when i change echostar7 diseqs 2 and scan it i get all american channels but i don't get any international channels...but if i change that back to diseqs to none and scan it i get my all international channels but not the american channels...i don't know why...and also once i get my all american channels and i tried to scan it again to get my international channel but nothing happends...and then i have to do a factory reset and put the bin file again whenever i tried to get my international channels...if u know what i am talking about please help me...another thing that this has to do nothing to above question this is totally different dish question... ok long time ago i had put only dish 500 to receive my american channels... and i got that..in this dish i have twin dish pro lnbs..connected to 119 and 110 with two wieres..........and recently i had put another dish 500 to tried to receive international channels but nothing comes up..is this why because this dish have single dish pro lnb and only one wire connected to i think 119...is this why because this is one is on 119 instead of 61.5 and single wire connected..if you can help me please help me soon as you can.....if you don't understand in what i need help u can ask me question and i will glad to answers you back soon......

yes, you can do your way to get the international channels by doing like that, but that the way most of the guys do and having no epg because the channels bleed in from different sat. the above instruction is the perfer to go for. before doing scanning, you may need to go in = menu, satellite collection and add " user 1" additional to the satellites you have on the list( no config needed), this is for dealing with dishnet transponders relocating...:wow:
